This is only the first game after lockdown and a many other factors to consider, but I'll be lying if I say I'm not a lil concern that our bowlers- almost the test line up, couldn't get more wickets.

ONLY 4 WICKETS IN OVER 100 OVERS

It's early days, but bowlers usually have to adjust their length when they go to NZ, the fast bowlers usually have to bowl a fuller length and the spinners usually have to have many variations. However the series will be a difficult one for the WI, most NZ tours usually are, going back in History, the tour when Sammy was captain, ended up being the end of the Test careers of some players, a few name are Sammy, Kirk Edwards, Deonarine and Best.
Hopefully they will learn from this match but Gabriel and co did come up short.
Me thinks Holder will be the wicket taker because of his hight and bounce and movement.
The fact that we made so much runs says a Lot about the pitch.

The opposition made a few less but declared with only 3 wickets down.

I hope so, look I don't want to make a big deal out of it but I am concerned.

Exactly we scored 350 plus so it was probably nice and flat with no turn

Exactly, batting paradise. If we were a better batting side we too would only have lost 3 wickets. Context Emit context.

Yes ...really concerned...but hopefully it's practice match effect ........ experiments by batsmen and bowlers....in the last N.Z. tour few players performed exceptionally in practice matches but failed miserably in test matches.......this time it's reverse......

This fact bothers me a lot.
If it just bothering you guys, where have you been these pass 20 years???
In reply to natty_forever
In last 20 years ,we never had such a good bowling attack..... Gabriel,Roach and Holder are all in top 20... although Holder did not play.... Joseph not taking wickets in recent pass.... admittedly poor bowling efforts of past cannot be alibi for present poor performance......

Context Natty, context mi boy. "20 years ago" was the beginning of a new era, by now we expected to have become better and evidence to do point that way, so any regression causes a lil worries.
