In reply to FuzzyWuzzy

In reply to Norm
And where tf are you and what tf are you doing.....
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
I am definitely not bad-mouthing people that are working hard for the region, and people that I could neither replace nor better.
Do the words "ungrateful twit" mean anything to you?
In reply to Norm
Does fuh cough mean anything to you?
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
I knew that was the best you had - a nasty mouth, a nasty mind and an empty head!!!
So, run along and keep on cussin' true cricketers, because you cannot do anything better.
Hahahahahahahaha! Hahahahahahahaha! Hahahahahahahaha!
He cant win with shits like Allen and Fletcher
In reply to Barry
What about Poorun??
In reply to StumpCam
What about your .....
In reply to Norm
I think you mistakenly posted that on the wrong message board Norm. Previous captains have played hard for us while being crucified on this board. Fuzzy is just poking fun at those who post here (mostly Trinis) who have been claiming that this latest iteration of our West Indies savior-captain is the real deal who will take us to the promised land, with his aggressive take-no-prisoners leadership style and all that.
I see Guyanese on here crucifying Hetmyer and Paul for their poor play last night. But I have not seen any criticism of Pollard for that dropped catch early in the game or for him lobbing the ball back to the bowler when a good throw could have resulted in a runout.
We continue to rearrange the deck chairs on the Titanic thinking that it will stop the ship from sinking
In reply to Walco
Therein lies the problem.
In reply to Walco
Norm needs to realize this is the way of social media!
Civil discourse is so 80s!
In reply to StumpCam
You are a funny chap. Thanks for the Sunday humor. We better learn to laugh, because this lot is going to bring us very little joy....
In reply to Walco
True, but maybe we need to put a stop to that. We are fans of a game, man - for enjoyment, supposedly.
I wish someone had made that clear to me when I myself crucified some Bajan captain - for not bowling Bishoo early, for example. I might have kissed my family a whole lot more on those days, instead of fuming at them for reasons they could never had guessed.
When WI win, I will celebrate and be happy. The society I grew up in conditioned me that way. I wish that society had also gone to more trouble to emphasize that games were not yet another reason for us to fight among ourselves.
Gary always smiled when he played cricket. Even Big Wes did, even after a searing bouncer past the batsman's nose. Yagga whistled away while scoring 300 at Kensington. Maybe that is why they excelled, and maybe that is why the crowds showed up to watch them.
They enjoyed playing, and we enjoyed the exhibition of superlative performances before us. It was all about enjoying the game, win or lose.
Call that "so 80's" if you want to. We had less blood pressure problems back in the "so 80's" days.

get with the program, Fuzz

different salvos for certain cappos

In reply to Narper
They look sluggish on the field.
They are not into cricket , this bunch .... twisted twisted twisted
NZ may get over 200..at this rate

Everyone must share the blame.

It was over when Pouty missed the first catch
In reply to sgtdjones
Bossman I seldom read or contribute to wagons during T20s and ODIs. I'm usually too busy watching the game.
But why was Mayers given one over as a first change bowler and never given the ball again even though the 10 runs conceded for that one over was among the the lowest on the team? And why was Paul given 4 overs when he was getting consistent licks over after over?
In reply to Walco
...And why was as a newbie he was he asked to bat at #3 when his SR is 105 chasing a mountain of a score?
Decision makers in organizations such as CWI must be held accountable.
Mayers IMHO was set up to fail.
In reply to Courtesy
I just realized that most of our recent captaincy changes have had Trini fingerprints on them. Dave got the Trini vote after promising to replace Sammy with Bravo, and Empty Skillet (TM sudden) got the Trini vote after promising to replace Holder and Brathwaite with Pollard. Hmmmmmm ...
In reply to Walco
The politics of entitlement?
In reply to Walco
So Paul failed the night before- he failed the day after and is Pollard fault? What about that shit, Allen?
In reply to Courtesy
Trinis entitled but not Bajans and OECS?
In reply to Walco
Shallow Skillet it was and it wasnt me. believe it was Drapsey or some other bloke. Good one that.
Mayers should have played from the beginning and in the middle order as an all rounder. but there seems to be some understanding test matches are for mostly bajans, the T20s mostly Tits and JAs when they want to and the ODIs a mixture.
we need to play more professional cricket all together. what passes for our professional league is a bare joke. we must replicate a professional environment so that when players get to the international level they are not overawed.
the captaincy is incidental to our performance altho when it is a bajan it is the reason for our non performance.
In reply to sudden
I know I can count on you for a normative discourse.
Thumbs up.
In reply to Barry
Poorun saving his runs for test!
In reply to sudden
I have been arguing all along, and others on here as well, that a captain is only as good as the members of his team. We keep giving our captains force ripe players and expect them to work miracles.
In reply to Courtesy
I was so shocked when Mayers was walking to the crease that I thought it was Allen at first. That T20 strike rate also surprised me give Mayers exploits in the last CPL. But he did OK and got out to a blinder of a catch by Phillips.
In reply to Walco
I just thought it was too much to ask him to bat that high...but he tried.
In reply to Courtesy
I expected to see Pooran batting in that spot.
Mayers batted confidently and rather fluently. I would be happy to see him in this T20 team again. I BELIEVE he dos not bowl much these days, because of a back problem.
In reply to Norm
Norm one may wonder if you were stuck in the back room when people here were calling for the head of Holder.
In reply to Walco
If Fuzzy really feel music man and company click on his topic he is sadly mistaken. Trinis there them happy.
In reply to Norm
You blame the captain for Bishoo's deficiencies.
Most of us fans, speak about his lack of variety in his bowling, you don't hear the same of Hayden Walsh.
In reply to nick2020
I'll have to start avoiding that place. A bunch of weirdos and experts there, regurgitating CNN and FOX opinions all effing day! Only the occasional topic there is of any use.
Might be better (more fun, at least!) if I just stayed right here and joined the frequent calls for captains' heads ...!

Did the great Lloyd or Richards ever win a series vs the Kiwis in New Zealand?
The last time was in 2008 when we won a T20 in NZ. That is 12 years ago.
Test is even worse. Last time we won a match there was in 1995.
So don't blsme apaollard for having the deck stacked against him nor Holder.
We simply play poor down there. Just enjoy
Fact: The West Indies cricket team shits on its tail only when playing in New Zealand. It does not happen anywhere else in the world. And it has not been happening for over 20 years.

Factoid
Pollard drop Rovman and you will win.
In reply to Norm
T20 is supposed to be our best format. But the problem is that our best team has not played in this format since the last world cup 4 years ago. Russell, Big Bravo, Simmons and Lewis are all missing. Not sure if Lewis was even considered by the selectors. Narine is also missing but I do not expect him to wear a WI uniform again because of his suspect action, and Jason Holder should probably be in the WC squad based upon his recent IPL performance. The next T20 WC will be interesting.
In reply to Courtesy & sudden
Mayers like Rovman has to bat while de pacers are operating. Dey both suspect against spin. Mayers' low strike rate in de recent CPL was the result of his struggles to score against spin
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Which WI captain from the great Clive Lloyd and Viv to modern era beat the black caps in NZ?
You all either wet behind the ears or do not know the difference from a white ball and a bat.
If you do not have anything positive to say they go and watch tv.
Pollard was given the weakest team to play against one of the best in the business today. How did the selectors expect him to compete ?
In reply to rillo
Wait are you saying dat Pollard who is part of de selection team help pick de weakest team dat he cud find so he cud get outa dis captaincy ting and go mek his money elsewhere?
Did he urge Russell and Lendl to decline selection? And how did he get DJ to pull a hamstring?
Allyu Tits real good
In reply to Maispwi
Incomprehensible shit- possibly Antiguan....
In reply to Barry
So when Tits say dem kinda tings is picong but when others say it is incomprehensible shit? But den again de say dat picong is a load ah shit tork anyway
In reply to Norm
Maybe because we didn't lose much one a the time then. To now caan win at all. Psychological shyt them things.
In reply to Maispwi
I am not an expert on Trinis-I hate picong.
In reply to rillo
Just as they did with past captain.
Past captains never won PLs
