Hasan Mahmud credits coach Otis Gibson
In reply to shivnotout
How is it Otis can't get through to windies players but he can make breakthroughs with Bangladeshis whose 1st language is not English?
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Because he is Bajan and ugly.
So,GibSOB is with Bangladesh now?
In reply to openning
Gibson is better looking than Eswick, more knowledgeable and a better coach.
We let him walk away.
Our loss....
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
west indies bowlers, only understand sign language

Marshall cudn get Dillon to bowl close to de stumps from over the wicket but Pollock gratefully accepted de advice
a Dutch fooball coach tells me , the way you coach European, is not the same for South American,African or other players, each group has its unique requirements.

West Indians just didn't want Gibson. The same way that they do not want Phil. Maybe we need foreign coaches to get through to our players. The same way that Gibson is a foreign coach to those players who credit him with helping them.
Gibson has proven himself to be an outstanding bowling coach, but not so much as a head coach. People seem to forget that he failed and was fired from the head coaching spot in South Africa too. If he was to come back to the West Indies as a bowling coach most people would be happy to have him.

Failed is all relative.
He won 5/7 test series including beating India and Australia
He won 6/7 odi series losing only to India
He won 5/7 t20 series
An exodus of SA players to Kolpak gutted the SA team and finally led to his ousting.
He took Windies to #5 in Test ranking including 6 consecutive wins. Also a T20 World cup. Right now we can only dream of such success.
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Because hes probably better at sign language not good at articulating english
But Jesus, said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house..
Hello, everyone know Otis is one hell of a bowling coach. FULL STOP.

Otis is a good fast bowling coach but head coach was where he failed. But frankly speaking, I had high hopes for Simmons but this ODI series and the one against NZ shows he is not delivering either
In reply to Pacy
So we have a head coach now who is neither a bowling coach nor a batting coach?
Dais logic papa. Replacing 50 percent with ZERO percent.
Btw, coach Simmons is as shitty and laid back as one can get.
In reply to Courtesy
The worst we ever had.

A rubber, rubbibg belly coach who sleeps on the job.
In reply to Courtesy
Our bowling that looked the part, has gone backwards.

It's hard not fall asleep when wi batting
In reply to LBW375
Mate, I am a glutton for punishment. I now have to endure two test matches before my wounds are healed.
In reply to LBW375
how you fall asleep?
bangladesh tek 30 wickets and windies tek 13 wickets
In reply to TheTrail
Rabada endorsed him also
In reply to tc1
I am not surprised at all.
BTW, with forty-four (44) test matches under his belt, Rabada has just passed 200 test wickets __ the third-fastest fast bowler to do it.
If you check some of the top bowlers in England and South Africa, the late Malcolm Marshall and Otis Gibson had a say in their fast bowling careers.
