Is it because she is Japanese or because she is Haitian? Or because she beat 2 Americans including Serena?
Enquiring minds want to know!

Where are the congrats Naomi threads? We love you queen!
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
In another 10 years she will be the GOAT in women's tennis.
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
She beats Serena.
Fake Love for Naomi very evident. No consolation in calling her 'Little Serena'
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Naomi's going to be one of the greats. Four slams already and very progressive.
I really like Naomi - she plays Serena's game which is why Serena can't beat her again.
In reply to Chrissy
No Chrissy. She plays Naomi's game
In reply to Ridge
You say that as if it's such an easy thing to do.
All Trump supporters think alike.

Osaka will Make Tennis Great Again!
In reply to nitro
I hope so but new challengers will emerge.
I wish her much success!
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
No. It is because not many peeps were up at 4.00 am
//
In reply to Ewart
They were up at 2 for Serena
Fake!
Congrats to Naomi, but even the Japanese are not excited about her, she looks like she will be an iconic player.
In reply to black
In your hope, you fell for Nitros implicit hate.
You shouldve been aware of it in his Make Tennis Great Again!
No need to dig further.
In reply to Casper
Hate? Hate for who?
In reply to Chrissy
She is a very Good Player , and her performance on the Court was Superb so also was her Victory Speech today .
In reply to Ewart
Well given the geriatric nature of the board they were likely up at 7AM on a Saturday.
Plenty of time to still make the topic
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
De Doc still missing.
Congratulations to Naomi Osaka, she is a very talented Tennis Player . My hope
is that she ditches that Classless Clown she had in her entourage at the US Open.
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
On another note. Serena needs to seriously consider retirement. She has been the best female player of the last 25 years, quite probably the best in the professional era of the sport( despite the ferocious critism in the ultra racist world of professional tennis). Being one shy of a record that was set in the ameteur days is nothing to be ashamed about. But no one would like to beg her to leave the scene because she is a shadow of her former self. Nobody wants another muhammad ali
Serena must retire despite reaching semis and finals, but journey men and and women who aren't able to reach that far must continue.
chupes.

Classless in what way?
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
I'm sure it's not intentional nor malicious, like your failure to congratulate Gayle in the past.
In reply to JahJah
Does Gayle play tennis?
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Ah yes, it's 2021 and you're still a simpleton.
In reply to JahJah
Ok captain jerk
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
No worries, captain mount.
In reply to POINT
I want to agree with you but maybe that is the Buddy that keeps her highly moitvated and going!
Whitney was at her best when Bobby Brown was making her sing! She collapsed when she ditched him.
Tiger Woods was never the same after riding out his neighborhood.
Sex makes us happy. You should try it you boring skunt
In reply to dayne
I don't know about that. My son lives in Japan, and he says the Japanese are very excited about her.
She's the poster girl for the Tokyo Olympics.
The only interesting women's sport is track and field.
In reply to JahJah
Leff dem
In reply to JahJah
So Fuzzy intentionally did not congratulate Gayle?
Shame on him!
In reply to nick2020
I ain't see nuhbody congratulate Djokovic yet
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Because you did not congratulate Di Universe Boss
In reply to dayne
why do people make these wild assumptions?
what makes you think or believe the Japanese are not excited about her?
Understand she is a household name in Japan and she is followed everywhere by Japanese media. If you dont see it now I bet you come Olympics time you will see as you watch the Olympics
Initially she was not accepted but once she started winning the hop on pun de wagon
In reply to JahJah
He made a very Rude Gesture , which was
in the Newspaper. The Guy has absolutely
no freaking Class !!!!!!!!!!!
One of the New York News Papers ,
had a picture with her , and a Guy who apparently was or is her
BoyFriend, making an obscene gesture.
Apparently, there were some people
who were Booing her . However that , in my opinion , was no reason for him
to be Uncouth . She won the USA
Tournament .
In reply to POINT
You never did anything unbecoming in your life?
In reply to nitro
Be thankful you didn't have to hear about monkeys climbing
In reply to JahJah
Associating with a Man who in a Picture
with her made an obscene Gesture . The
fact is that there are young men who
know how about Etiquette , and would
not have been an embarrassment to her .
Look it is that freaking Simple . The
picture of him making that obscene
gesture was in the New York Papers .
Fortunately for Naomi, because she's not American, her name is less likely to be dragged through the US tabloids for whatever her boyfriend does or says. Maybe someone who has the pulse on Japanese sports stars (problemjay?) and how they're treated by the media there can indicate if they're dogging her over that as opposed to her winning a fourth Slam.
She's slowly becoming the new face of women's tennis after a dozen would-be-stars struggled to maintain consistency at winning the big events.
I recall back in the old ESPN tennis forum days, there used to be a Queen Venus and a Princess Serena, up until the latter passed the former in total Grand Slams and was well ensconced in that role and dominance, and rightly so. After all, there is a pecking order here.
Dont be rude. There can be only one Queen at a time. Until Serena retires that is her status to bear.
Just yesterday, when commentators were uncertain about Tiger Woodss situation and were talking about athletes and their singular impact on their sports, names brought up, in addition to Tiger, were Michael Jordan, Muhammad Ali and Serena. Tom Brady was added to the mix, if only for his dominance, but not the same added social impact.
I did not hear Naomi Osaka. Not yet. Her time will certainly come, if she continues to dominate her sport over an extended period of time and persist in her social awareness.
If you dont mind, its still Queen Serena.
Naomi Osaka Rules!
MIXED RACE POWER!
Casper fighting hard for Serena
he is not ready to accept the Japanese girl Naomi as the present best in female tennis
In reply to problemjay
No, you got it wrong. Serena fought for herself. She has already laid down the marker. Lets see who can uproot it and plant it in an even more prominent spot. Time will tell.
In reply to Casper
I respect Serena for acknowledging the greatest sprinter ever.
Nuff respect for that.
RIP Flo Jo.
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Or maybe she doesnt have a fan base on this mb?
In reply to VIX
The top 3 or 4 teams in women's international soccer are very watchable and impressive.
You never watch womens volleyball? Both beach and indoors?
Come Olympics...I enjoy watching gymnastics, figure skating, swimming, skiing and snowboarding etc.
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Much like wunnuh
Osaka has mastered the Australian Open and the US Open....winning them twice each.
She now has to conquer the French Open and Wimbledon where she has never reached the quarter finals ( FOURTH ROUND)
Along the way she has to overcome some opponents who has her number like Karolina Pliskova 3-2, Halep 4-1 and Sloane Stephens who she has never beaten 2-0 in addition to a possible vengeful Serena who CAN beat her 1-3.
Commonsense tells me that if Frazier, Norton and Foreman can beat an opponent then Muhammmed Ali SHOULD be able to beat that opponent too!
In reply to imusic
Whuh you talk bout Tito?

In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Fuzzy let me tell you why.
Osaka is not black enough for the people who call Serena Queen.
Osaka is tied to the ugly meltdown Serena had at the US Open.
They really want to jump on Coco but are afraid she isn't going to be dominant like Serena. And once you drank the Serena Champagne you cannot go to mauby.
Nuff tennis Hexperts in here will disappear. Only to be seen again when someone challenges The Queen's legacy.
Some of Serenas historical and perpetual Hatahs - I havent used that term in quite a while, most appropriate to bring it out - want to see her off the scene a bit too quickly. Too over eager to have her replaced.
Serena may still have a last laugh in store.
In reply to Casper
She has been replaced.
Naomi Osaka Tek Ova!
In reply to Casper
Boss she's 39 with over 20yrs on the tour
Serena was a dominant champion...The Queen...
Not only winning all Grand Slams but having a head to head advantage over everyone.
Naomi Osaka has beaten Serena...but she is not dominant...the women's tennis scene is wide open now with no dominant Queen.
In reply to analyst-kid
The longest journey begins with the first step. Nobody who watches tennis can compare Osaka to the legacy of Serena at this stage. But as they stand today Osaka is ahead. Nobody can predict the future but at 22 yrs old Osaka has the opportunity to rack up GS titles.
Which other woman on the your not named Williams has more GS titles than Osaka's 4?
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Undeniable
In reply to nitro
In Public , NO !!!!!!
You seem blithely unaware of the fact that She had just won the Tournament
when the Idiot made that obscene gesture .
PHOTOGRAPHERS WERE TAKING PICTURES OF
HER AND ENTOURAGE. THAT IS PRECISELY HOW
HOW PEOPLE WHO READ THE NEWSPAPERS
SAW HIS OBSCENE GESTURE IN THE
PHOTOGRAPH.
He demonstrated to ALL that he has no
Freaking Class or Decorum . You seem
Hell bent to make his behaviour acceptable . I cannot , and will not
condone such utter Classless Behaviour .
In reply to analyst-kid
Without googling it from what I recall Serena because dominant in her mid to late 20s. At least from a grand slam perspective.
Serena had a different career from the rest of the greats. They won a lot early and didn't last nearly as long. Martina excluded.
In reply to POINT
You remember the time Serena said she would shove a tennis ball down a line judge's throat?
Or maybe you don't
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
NUFF RESPECT TO NAOMI WINNING..so will Serena RETIRE..her time has come and gone
SO UNDIGNIFIED being beaten by these new kids on the block
I know it's quite common for the Serena's Hatahs to think she has committed the most despicable crimes on a tennis court. Makes me wonder how long these newbies have been following or watching tennis. But if one is inclined to think the worst of Serena, for some inexplicable reason, and others not so, then I encourage those "newbies" to read this article - The 13 Nastiest On-Court Spats in Tennis History.
In reply to TEMPER
The use of language to demean and degrade.
Serena shows way more class than McEnroe ever did on the court and even on the occasions when she acts classless, and she has, is nowhere as volatile & rude as he was on the court.
Jimmy Connors was a despicable person who loved to play to the crowd and everyone forgave him his transgressions.
Federer was a punk on the court in his youth. He himself admits it.
As men, they are all described with having fire in their belly, obsession with winning. Single minded etc. Code words.
As a woman, Serena faces a double standard
As.a black woman, that standard is quadrupled.
As the song goes.....thats just the way it is. Some things will never change.
In reply to Casper
Looks like your expose backfired as Serena was named twice in the list.
In reply to imusic
Mac and Connors are pretty low bars for classy behaviour on the court.
Explain this punkish behaviour.
No it is not.
And this deflection really all falls apart when you point on one simple fact: Venus never behaved like Serena.
Why can't people just accept Jordan was a prick? Beating up his white teammates and fat shaming the GM.
Why can't people accept that Serena behaves badly on the court? She is still the GOAT. But she has acted like a Goat too. Too much American Idol I guess.
In reply to POINT
So being bad in public worse than private?
I am curious what naughty thing you did in private?
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Good try.
How many times were John McEnroe and Jimmy Connors named, if I am to go by assessment?
In reply to imusic
Stop playimg the race card and relax...Serena needs to retire now...39 years old....the kids belong to the future
In reply to Casper
So are you saying she is as bad behaved as those two?
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Her speaking up for Black Lives Matter may have made her a target for some folk?
In reply to TEMPER
Why should she retire when practically every tournament she enters, she makes it to at least the semi finals?
Maybe you should stop playing the age card
In reply to imusic
Yuh good music man
