Tiger Woods was in a major car crash this mornin

Chrissy 2021-02-23 19:58:13

was pulled out with the jaws of life - hearing moderate to critical

ray 2021-02-23 19:59:44

no report yet as to his condition...car had minor damage according to reports

Why is Tiger still driving himself around? He hit a fire hydrant and tree while fleeing his golf club wielding ex-wife; he had a DUI in Florida a few years ago; and now this. It's not like he can't afford a driver ...

Chrissy 2021-02-23 20:06:33

Major leg injuries - currently in surgery.
Fight Tiger fight.

Chrissy 2021-02-23 20:58:57

Good news he was conscious and alert at the scene

Walco 2021-02-23 21:09:09

Anytime the jaws of life are used the vehicle looks more mangled. But it looks like he hit something head-on because there is major front end damage to that vehicle.

He should have used a "driver".

it looks like he hit something head-on
Too much velocity puts him in the "rough".

In reply to Walco

The good news is he had on the seat belt. We'll find out but it looks like the SUV may have landed front first. That]s bad for the legs

carl0002 2021-02-23 22:17:11

Knew he should not have taken that medal of freedom from Trump.

lol lol

Do you think Trump has called him?

Anyhow, let's take Trump out of this conversation.

Legs badly mangled I think his career is over, wishing speedy recovery

Alex Smith shattered his leg in the NFL and was able to play again 2 years later.

Shattered ankle and fractured bones in both legs does not strike me as career ending presumptions beyond Tiger's own decisions.

Ayenmol 2021-02-24 01:25:42

Was wondering what Vehicle....just saw it was loaned him by the Genesis invitational....Genesis gv80

Tiger Woods is done!

He may play in charity tournaments but not again in the PGA Tour.

Five back surgeries, shattered ankle and broken leg.....Tiger is human.

Cricket_101 2021-02-24 01:51:06

Very sad, I wish you a speedy complete recovery GOAT Tiger ... Only a few months, I watched him and Charlie (his son) teamed-up in a tourney...

My thinking also

Ayenmol 2021-02-24 02:53:10

In reply to XFactor

If Tiger is done, it's because he chooses to....medical advances have NFL players coming back with injuries that use to impact everyday life just a few years ago....the exact nature of these fractures are not yet known....but i doubt the injuries themselves will mean he can't play anymore if he chooses to put the work in.

ray 2021-02-24 03:17:18

I see men with them bones poking out come back and play....anything is possible

Chrissy 2021-02-24 10:26:40

In reply to ray

Broken bones, shattered ankle - there is no pro golf without sturdy and healthy legs. He'll recover but I fear the career is over.

I will avoid being an armchair doctor on the severity of the injuries and just echo Ray sentiment that some very old men play golf.

Also wasn't there a pro golfer that was handicapped and allowed to use a golf cart?

Runs 2021-02-24 11:01:46

Being able to play golf and win tournaments again are 2 separate and distinct things.

StumpCam 2021-02-24 12:12:05

Have you guys heard of the Senior PGA?? Golf does not have an age limit. Knowing Tiger’s work ethic, he will be motivated to return to his lifelong passion!

Tiger did this interview on Sunday....he looks like he had been hitting the painkillers hard again

shock

how can you tell? what are the tell tale signs?

Conscious bias. Reinforced by the fact that he likely overheard yesterday that Tiger recently has a fifth back operation.

The mind works in funny ways.

ray 2021-02-24 12:38:06

Top athletes don't quit easy....

Dukes 2021-02-24 12:41:03

Too much speculation. In the absence of information you guys are imagining things. If I were a smart person I would counsel you to not opine on tiger’s current health situation.

Mek up yuh mind....is it "fact" or are you speculating about what I "overheard"? I see you are living up to your message board name....yuh is a real duppy fi true...

I thought he looked like he was drugged up or perhaps slightly drunk while watching the interview live on Sunday....

Casper 2021-02-24 14:17:05

Was he drugged or slightly drunk? Make up your mind. lol lol

Conscious bias, maybe?

Get well Tiger. MAGA!

Raggs 2021-02-24 14:21:35

my sister said a few yrs back a white guy,a spectator intentionally barged into him on the golf course. never was the same again..call it white or black magic.

It has been documented that Tiger Woods was on painkillers and sleep enhancement drugs in the past.

We will have to wait for the toxicology report, but it would not surprise me that those drugs played a role in this crash.

I guess you missed the part where the police said that area is known for accidents due to the steep grade!

I had just finished watching that interview when I heard the news that he was in a crash. I thought this could not be real and must admit the thought did come to mind cuz Tiger did not look well in that interview at all.

Ayenmol 2021-02-24 15:43:16

If i heard correctly, due to the severity of his injuries and the fact it was a single vehicle accident, there was no test or collection taken at the scene.

As to if they followed up at the Hospital am not sure....not sure what the California laws are on this.

But he was on the way to shoot something with Brees and Herbert....was late....driving a Genesis when he may be accustomed to putting much better msnufactured vehicles through their paces.

He may have forgotten what he was driving.....distracted maybe? They said he might have been running late.

Most of these guys take stuff....but this seems like just an accident due to speed ....etc.

XFactor 2021-02-24 15:44:17

In reply to StumpCam

Do you understand the implications of a single vehicle accident?

XFactor 2021-02-24 15:50:41

In reply to Ayenmol

We are all speculating as to what really happened. The only thing that is known is that from videos of the crash site and reports from the police it appear that Tiger was traveling at a high rate of speed.

StumpCam 2021-02-24 15:52:53

In reply to XFactor

Nope! Please elaborate, if you felt I have made a false statement! razz

XFactor 2021-02-24 16:07:56

In reply to StumpCam

No, I will not elaborate....But you notice your brain is getting distracted again. You should continue with the electroshock treatment. razz

Ayenmol 2021-02-24 16:55:00

This much is clear....Vehicle safety has reached a point where what would have been certain upper body injuries in the past has now been largely curtailed.....that vehicle flipped many times.....yet it has a huge glass mmoonroof which remained in tact and the entire cabin seems untouched.

Incredible.
