Former West Indies batting coach, Toby Radford, has suggested calls to replace all-rounder Jason Holder are an overreaction and would stick with the current captain, despite the success of Kraigg Brathwaite in Bangladesh.
Brathwaite was widely commended for his role in leading an understrength team to a 2-0 win away to Bangladesh earlier this month. Holder, on the other hand, was one of 12 players to pull out of the tour after citing health and safety concerns.
“I think they surprised everybody not least of all Bangladesh, probably their own supporters as well. They performed really well. But it’s very easy to get carried away, isn’t it? You have a couple of big wins like that and then suddenly we have done it because Kraigg Brathwaite is captain and Jason Holder wasn’t captain,” Radford told the Mason and Guest radio program.

Toby Radford is entitled to his opinion of retaining Jason Holder as captain.
However, his rationale of comparing Jason Holder to Virat Kohli is flawed.
India is one of the top teams in Test cricket while West Indies is at the bottom.
Furthermore, Kohli's winning percentage as captain is over 50 while Holder's winning percentage is 30.
In my view, Brathwaithe should be captain and allow Holder to focus on his game which is important to the team.

What is this OBSESSION with replacing captainsbs just cause we beat a poor side like bangla by 3 wickets and 17 runs...the comparison with kohli is absurd..kohli leads a very gifted side...holder does not have that luxury...kraigg has lead before and lost games.Oh stop it will you...Holder captained the side that beat england...a top rated side at home 2/1 not too long ago.

Windies problems are deep seated..batsmen have lost the art of batting for long petiods test matches demand and concentrating.Changing captains will not solve the problem.A part of the illness is CRAP ODI cricket and the even worse T20 rubbish.

Change is very difficult to handle because we like being In our comfort zone but sometimes change is necessary.

Change is needed...but change in this context for its own sake will accomplish nothing...all due respests to Kraigg

I am not trying to belittle Holder but if it is not clear to you and others that Holder is not lacking in strategic thinking

Well, the CWI Selectors are on the ' Hot-Seat ' any decision they make will be second guess or curse-out, but it is obvious that the Team needs a change, Holder has had close to five years in leadership, but he has not improve in the way he does the job. The lost and the way Barbados lost to Jamaica this week could not have come at a worse time for Holder.

Agreed. Holder has learnt little and let's games slip away too often.
A change of captain for Test and also Barbados is needed urgently.

A good sign for him to go...He Didn't go Bangladesh, then he had a chance to prove himself in the super50, but instead he crashed out early
