No, this was a one sort of budget maneuver where they passed it, piece by piece. But my point was, there are way of getting around the 60 vote threshold, to include the nuclear option.

They used a process called reconciliation that can only be used once per year. So guess what? 60 votes will still be required to end debate and get to a vote on an infrastructure bill, a $15 per hour minimum wage, a new Voting Rights Act, ... Good luck getting Joe Manchin to support the nuclear option.

It has been proven that I am absolutely correct in my assessment . This is precisely why , in my opinion , the
Republican Party Members need to wear
Sack Cloth and Ashes .

Even worse is the fact that the Republican Party , decided to have as
its leader , a complete Novice to the
operation of Congress .

This is akin to a Donkey running in a
Horse Race . The Republican Party is

You need to factor into your calculation , the fact that the Sentiments of the People in the USA ,does have some bearing on All Politicians in the House of Representatives , and the Senate .

The $15.00 minimum wage was originally included in the covid relief bill but was taken out because of some technicality that says it can only include spending measures. It would not have passed anyway because of Democratic opposition to it.

Trump's incompetence in fighting covid was one reason he lost but the main reason he lost was because his hateful rhetoric created more enemies than friends.

Yes, Biden’s poll numbers are great. I think this recently passed Covid relief package had the support of 68% of the American public. Biden should put his name on those checks just like Trump did. His job approval rating is around 60% and his approval rating for handling the pandemic is in the region of 70%. These are numbers Trump could only dream about.

Coincidentally, there was no reconciliation bill passed last year, so Biden and the democrats will be able to do another one this year. I just hope that no Democratic senator from a state with a Republican governor dies between now and November 2022 . Interesting times ahead.

In my opinion his oversized EGO is the
main reason for his Political demise .
His perpetual penchant for playing Golf
in the midst of the Corona Virus Pandemic , was his fall from Grace .

As I have stated elsewhere in this Forum , an Seasoned Astute President of
the United States would have ensured that HE would not be shown on the TV
Evening News , in a Golf Cart in Golf Attire .

He perhaps forgot a famous Adage :

" YOU CAN FOOL SOME OF THE PEOPLE
