Pakistani women activists and rights campaigners have accused Prime Minister Imran Khan of “baffling ignorance” after the cricketer-turned-politician blamed how women dress for a rise in rape cases.
In a weekend interview on live television, Oxford-educated Khan said an increase in rapes indicated the “consequences in any society where vulgarity is on the rise”.
“The incidents of rape of women … [have] actually very rapidly increased in society,” he said.
He advised women to cover up to prevent temptation.

As soon as I read what he said I had that exact thought.Imran knows that is nonsense but the vast majority of his countrymen think that is correct so he has to pander to that rubbish.

That may be the case, but there are lots of educated men in the in the Caribbean and in the west who share that same view.

You all are not going to believe this. Years ago a guy charged with rape in the US got off because the judge said the victim had dressed too provocatively.

My sentiments exactly and sad he had to do it.
As you know, peace with India is looking real now. The fanatics he has to deal with are not happy for peace and they can do any thing to scuttle it, it is the same for both sides.
Imran apparently threw a bone to the fanatics to just keep them off track so they won't get on the way of peace.
Most people don't understand how difficult it is to rule those old world countries with lots of ethnic groups, tribal religions, age old grudges and male domination.
The fanatics are not Islamic by the way.

The Muslim world and the Western world are two completely different universes.Old attitudes to women are the same as 1000 years ago.Dem muslims never change.
