Looks lethargic compared to his prime days. Hiding the ball almost all the time.
He and Dhoni look like charity selections.

Big Bravo Looks Finished
In reply to Norm
that is a skill bhai....especially at the death
Dwayne Bravo 4 0 28 1
In reply to Narper
Don't be fooled. The game was as good as over when Bravo came on, with the score at 120-0 or something like that. He missed a couple of firm return catches too, which is something the Bravo of a couple of seasons ago would not have done. One of the missed return catches laid him out across the pitch and I thought they would have had to stretcher him off.
Do you feel the same this year as you felt 5 years ago?, and don't tell no bad word lies.......uh waiting Norm.
In reply to Norm
Then he should have been carted for 14 an over instaed of 7
In reply to Norm
For the past 5 years the same was said, early in the IPL, about Big B, Gayle, Narine, Polly
In reply to Halliwell
Narine is most endangered

He supposed to show them the ball like the tall ass from Guyana to get hit?
Wha he name is? Kemoo Paul?

"Big Bravo Looks Finished", is what I said. How does "5 years ago" and "lies" get into this? Are West Indians so fickle and insecure that criticism of WI players immediately result in a personal crisis?
Let me repeat. Big Bravo looks finished.
In reply to Narper
Why did Dhoni not try Bravo earlier, while Shaw and Dhawan were threatening to establish themselves? His introduction of Bravo was almost like "I don't have anything to lose now by trying Bravo".
In reply to Halliwell
Gayle is now far below the Gayle of old but he still seems capable of getting enough decent scores to earn his keep in the IPL.
Narine seems to exist in shorter and shorter time periods between regular bowling action remediation efforts. His IPL team now risks him in critical matches only, knowing that he won't escape the umpires for more than a couple of games.
Then he will be reported again, and it's back to remediation school until next CPL or IPL. We all know the drill.
Polly seems fine and is still at the top of his game. He still plays the finisher role in the lower order as often as he always did. I will bet that Polly will retire from the IPL and other T20 leagues as soon as his game diminishes significantly.
Big Bravo is still in the IPL. So his team obviously thinks he could still earn his keep. My interpretation of the manner in which Dhoni used him as a bowler today tho is that his days in the IPL are numbered.
Nevertheless, this year's IPL has just begun, and Bravo could still prove my assessment wrong.

Are you inside of Dhonis min?
In reply to Norm

In reply to Barry
Big Bravo looks finished.

Lots of hate for Hety, but we are a crab-in-barrel people when left to our own devices.
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Looks like we won't ever get to discussing, just to 'cussin'. Still though, your point is well taken.
I laid out my cricketing points to explain my point of view. I am not holding my breath for anyone else to do so, however. If I feel like it, I will put together the info to support my "crab-in-barrel" comment. There should be plenty by the end of the day.
BTW, your "copying" is inaccurate.

Keemo looks done
I won't say "finished" but he did look rusty. It's early yet though. Let's wait a little more and see.
In reply to Norm
It is well established in IPL ( by Dhoni) for over a decade that Bravo is the designated death bowler...he does not bowl early
In reply to Norm
My disaappointment is Bravo in recent times seems to have given up his batting...now batting # 9 or so...I believe Bravo is a class batsman...better than Daren in T20 cricket....by far
Wrong thread
In reply to Narper
Is Harbhajan finished? Then why Bravo?
In reply to B16JP587S
It is possible that Big Bravo is just rusty. We will just have to wait and see.
In reply to Norm
Rusty and finished are two different Russian words-
In reply to Norm
We know that but understand what Narper said,it's the ploy or tactics that Bravo has successfully employed in the IPL over the years.Hiding the ball is a skill, not everybody can do it.
In reply to granite
bravo is boss
In reply to granite
Fair enough.
Dre Rus didn't look that great in his first match either. These guys have been around the IPL for a long time and time seems to be quickly catching up with some of them.
At this point Polly still seems to be as good as new and Jason Holder is currently doing well. Hetmyer and Fabian Allen still have to show that they can hold a place in the IPL.
In reply to Norm
So Dre Russ ain't finish despite his two knees?
Talk nah
In reply to Norm
Big Dawg not finished as yet.
