I am waiting for an apology from the poster who took me to task for pointing out to Roger that his statement about Paul (who at the time was in Australia) showed he was clueless about certain issues.

So Harper made a good call in not giving them contracts?

Come in muddies?

Keemo needs to reinvent or re-introduce himself into the game with some consistent performances.

Keemo Paul and Sherfane Rutherford have not been "released" by the GAW.They remain on the open market and could still end up with GAW.All the players who have not been retained by their respective squads could end up not going anywhere. It all depends on what happens later.

The nuances of what is going on escapes many journalists and too many on here fail to read carefully what is going on.

Oh well............

If one is not retained, isn't he released?

The nuances to great for someone like me.

Leave Juksey alone nah...its when you eat to many mangoes quickly, blood goes to the stomach not the brain.

He will be ok after he sees a few tall girls in Florida.

I beg to disagree Sir!
All of the other top players have been retained so why were Paul and Rutherford not retained .They were dropped !!
What you stated is how it works they are available to other teams and GAW can still keep them .However, they are very unlikely to stay with GAW.
Remember that Rutherford was dropped from the Xl during the latter stages of last year’s tournament
Paul is paying very dearly for making himself unavailable for the England tour where the conditions would have suited his seam bowling .

I hope Keemo ends up with my Tridents. He is a champion player and I like when a cricketer has a chip on his shoulder and something to prove.

I will return to your comment about Paul later. All I would say is do not feel sorry for Keemo.

Yeah ... it’s good to move players to different franchises...but it’s up to the owners ..hopefully getting into different camps can only help ...
That’s all

Guys playing professionally in a league and for their hometown team is not always the optimum combination.

The hometown distractions can be a career staller for some, especially young men with money.

According to the Warriors announcement, Keemo and Rutherford are not among the "core" players that they retained, and there are still 6 spots to be filled.

Rutherford has been playing plenty of T10 and T20 cricket across the globe, but Keemo will need the money. His response to this situation will be interesting. Will he now focus on his batting?

I hope Trinidad choose some of their talented young players like Kirsten Kallicharran and Keagan Simmons.
I think both of them are free scoring batsmen, but also technically correct too.
