With T-20 being an established format, why the ICC wants to promote T-10s for the Olympics is baffling.
Right now, T-10 isn't even played at international level.
What are the benefits of T-10 vs T-20 at an Olympic level?
The only thing that jumps out is shorter duration of an individual match.
Meanwhile, I'm sure the IOC would prefer T-20s (after all, all current member nations play T20s) - the only hindrance is that the host nation would need suitable grounds for games, which is nothing new.

Well if the IOC is so ridiculous as to remove the popular 4 x 400m from 2024 Olympics, and added 'mathletics', I guess why not any form of Cricket?
I think some people were concerned that their country could never in their lifetime even make the 4x 400 relay semi-finals, so I guess they voted against the event, with the continued Eurocentric influence of the Olympics, notwithstanding the fact that Maths is one of my favorite subjects. They could have gotten rid of sports like archery, etc.

There may not be T10 international cricket
But regional teams can play it at Olympics
Just another format of the game.
I have zero issue with it
