The up and coming tours should not happen....plain and simple the economic fall out from the pandemic does not warrant spending money by countries to host a privileged few(maybe 300 in total)..to participate in a gamesmanship(cricket)..that has no economic benefit to the WI people.
Most islands are presently standing with cup in hand...
and to spend and provide resources that the current population is in need of is very distasteful...
We have to create bio secure environment....what about the bio security environment for the people who needs it most???
We need vaccines...and please do not point out low covid counts in some islands....it is low because FARRRRRRIIIIINERS are kept out..
You are being used CWI to create practice for the visiting cricket nations....
Thats my take......
Host cricket when its viable...have we not cancelled our domestic tournament????

That aint the First Time , and it sure aint going to be Last Ttime . For many
years in this Forum I have continuously Stated that the WICBC/CWI is a Blight
on West Indies Cricket .

So Welcome to my Perspective , which I have held since I joined this Forum in
2003 . I have never deviated from my
perspective , because I have not seen
any improvement from the Lords in the
Governance of West Indies Cricket .

They are akin to Beggars who have to
do what their Masters tell them . So that they can do as they please with
West Indies Cricket .

For the umpteenth Time,There will be:

NO IMPROVEMENT IN WEST INDIES CRICKET

UNLESS OR UNTIL THERE IS A COMPLETE

RESTRUCTURING IN WEST INDIES CRICKET.

UNFORTUNATELY THAT AINT LIKELY TO

HAPPEN . IT IS THAT FREAKING SIMPLE.

This obviously is as a result of the
continuous Mal Administration of those
in the governance of West Indies Cricket .

The fact is that in the Greatness of
our former Players and Teams had absolutely nothing to do with those
in the administration of West Indies
Cricket .

It was the Prowess of Our Players , who when not representing the Region , were playing Cricket in Other
Countries .

The stark freaking Fact is that those
in the governance of West Indies Cricket individually and collectively are a Blight on West Indies Cricket .

If WE want Cricket in the Region to improve , everyone currently in the
WICBC/CWI cannot be a part of any new
Structure .

If that is not done , WE will be akin
to trying to Spin a Top in Mud .

You are one person that stick to your guns...
What I cannot fathom is CWI ability to attract “”DUNCES””
Akin to to attracting flies to ( you know what)
The question is why should the populace put up with mediocrity...after all these are paid positions and not volunteer positions ..
Carry on but you know you cannot preach to those who find it difficult to think..

I think you can answer that question yourself...what tv money???

The real proble is that The People
currently in the WICBC/CWI relish aping
the behaviour of those who formed the
WICBC/CWI .

The fact is that when the WIBC was founded , the People in the WICBC were
the Landed Gentry , and wealthy People.

They had and to this day still have a
condecending attitude towards Our
Players . If you doubt that , research the big discussion regarding
Frank Worrell , a Black man becoming
the first Black Captain of the West Indies Cricket Team .

I cite the above to tangibly demonstrate the fact that The People
in the WICBC/CWI are still immersed in that mentality . Never mind the fact that currently some of them are
Black .

THEY THINK OF THEMSELVES AS BEING

LORDS , AND OUR PLAYERS THEIR SERFS .

What is truly sad is the fact that
most of the People in the Region who
masquerade as Sports Reporters have
bought into this B.S .

Let me again state a freaking Fact ,
currently the only intelligent Sports
Reporter in Cricket is Michael Holding whose comments on Cricket are always very inciteful .

Meanwhile those who claim to be Sporters Writers etc , always write
to defend , and please their Masters
in the WICBC/CWI .

It is quite evident that They are aligned with those in the WICBC/CWI ,
it seems that their Jobs are to be
critical of the Players , while saying , or writing nothing about
the Stewardship of the WICBC/CWI .

WE are where WE are due to the fact
that They are beholden to their Masters in the Worst International
Cricket Board in the Commonwealth .

If WE want West Indies Cricket to be
fully competitive , there must be :

A TOTAL RESTRUCTURING OF WEST INDIES

CRICKET . THIS MASTERS AND SERFS

MENTALITY MUST END ; IF THE GOAL IS

TO MAKE OUR PLAYERS ONCE AGAIN BECOME

THE BEST PLAYERS IN THE WORLD .
