Jofra Bruck Down Again...
In reply to Raggs
Now lets see his interview, hope he man enough to blame ECB!
In reply to Raggs
Why don't you look in the mirror, and ask yourself, why are you not in the Caribbean.
Thats goes for every West Indian/Guyanese who left the shores and think like you.
In reply to openning
Maybe Raggs had a need to go, as opposed to Archer's want.

In reply to Raggs
It seems a lot of people are upset Archer is playing for England and not West Indies. I don't have a problem with that.
However, some people seem to be happy when he gets injured and cannot represent England. I have a problem with that.
Cricket is Archer's livelihood. Why rejoice when he is injured?
Archer has made his decision to play for England instead of West Indies. We may not like it but there's nothing we can do to change it.
In reply to Drapsey
Why are you trying to make excuses for Raggs? Unless he was taken to England by his parents as a minor, he did not need to go anywhere. And, of course, he can always go back now that he is retired and show a token dedication to the land of his birth
In reply to Fivestar
just ah seh his elbow injury been troubling him for the longest time...with England's advance medical set-up how dat not get put to bed yet?
if he was still in the West Indies playing under the maroon banner he'll have a lot to say about the inadequate vicinities around him...
In reply to Drapsey
From what I read and see of Jofra, the man knows his roots.
The dude returns home often, walking around barefoot with his mom in tow.
In reply to openning
You're underscoring my point. He went to (play for) England because he wanted to, not because he needed to.
In reply to Drapsey
I move to Canada because I wanted to, not because I needed to.
We all do what we think is best for our situation, at the time.
Jofra playing in England give others the opportunity to play for the West Indies.
In reply to openning
The WI players in the IPL over the years offered the same consideration Archer did. Let us compliment them for a selfless act also.
In reply to openning
Bull sh*t!
In reply to Overthrow
They did not, they played in numerous leagues which is their choice, then complaining when not selected.
Jofra left West Indies cricket.
I have respect for a number of players, who left the International arena to play T 20 cricket, my problem is with West Indies fan, who think playing only T20 cricket is enough to get you selected to a 50 overs or test teams.
In reply to openning
I hold firmly to my point of view of you hold to yours.
In reply to Overthrow
Please explain how declining CWI retainer contracts and electing to play T20 tournaments instead of playing for the West Indies were acts of selflessness
In reply to Drapsey
We all do what we think is best for our situation, at the time.
In reply to openning
Well you know it just occurred to me that its also possible Raggs had to leave Jamaica because some gunmen were looking for him. That would definitely meet the requirement of needing to leave the country
In reply to Walco
Gave opportunities to other WI players to earn a living playing for WI. Same as Archer. 🤪🤪
In reply to Overthrow
So theyre being selfish now by coming back and playing for the West Indies?
In reply to Walco
Their services have been sought after to right a listing ship.
In reply to Overthrow
Proof positive that the opportunities opened up by those acts of selflessness were undeserving. No?
In reply to Overthrow
IPL
What a fool you are
In reply to Walco
Just proof those provided with a opportunities were the wrong choices and not up to the task
In reply to Overthrow
So we agree then that those selfless acts resulted in harm to West Indies Cricket
In reply to Walco
You are sumting else.....
In reply to sgtdjones
I think Raggs is a good man, but he has a habit of condemning the same behavior in others that he engaged in himself. And then when it is pointed out to him he finds all kinds of silly reasons why his conduct is different from the conduct he condemns.
In reply to Walco
Hell no, selectors continued in their flawed process. Punishing some for not looking good on TV, others out of spite and envy.
In reply to Overthrow
Are you suggesting that Gayle, Russell, Pollard, Bravo, and Narine were all available for West Indies selection during past IPLs? And who are these players other than Big Bravo who were excluded by selectors out of spite?
In reply to Walco
You are drifting with your pontification. I will play along. Here are names who were excluded for no good reason. Ramdin the best wicket keeper then and now, Rampaul who had a knack for breaking partnerships, Imran Khan who lead all all-rounders in stats at the regional level for a number of years, Russ Emrit despite his success never given an opportunity, Deonarine Narsingh unceremoniously dumped, Chandrapaul our most successful batsman at bat time was dumped.
Quite a few more batting thats should wet your appetite.
In reply to Overthrow
I was asking about selfless IPL stars who were excluded by selectors out of spite, not never-beens and has-beens Although I must say that Ravi was one of my favorites ...
In reply to Walco
The IPL players were the players who sacrificed for others to compete for a spot on the WI.
In reply to Walco
The IPL players were the players who sacrificed for others to compete for a spot on the WI. These never beens were not provided with opportunities, the has beens were disliked.
In reply to Overthrow
But wasnt it your Trini brother Phil who pushed for Shiv to be dropped to protect Laras record? Perhaps thats the spitefulness to which you referred
In reply to Walco
Could be
In reply to Overthrow
You are one of the few Trinis on this board with a sense of humor. Sarge has one too and Halli used to have one
In reply to Walco
Good on you. I have been told my sense of humour is an acquired taste.
Most English players are hyped up....Jofra is one of them....he chose his destiny... it's his fate...... better to concentrate on Searles and Smith......
Where is Cherry?

From The Guardian 19 may.
Then it all began to unravel, from 13 overs on the first day, five on the second, a spell of fielding on the third and a little back-and-forth with his captain, Ben Brown, over whether he would be able to bowl or not. By the end of the fourth day he was off the field. Then came a statement confirming he needed treatment on his elbow, would miss the two Tests against New Zealand and would need to see a consultant to talk about what to do next, and, you guess, whether he needs surgery on it or not.
Biomechanists say the injury is linked to the way his elbow is able to hyperextend beyond 180 degrees, which is also the source of that last little bit of his lethal speed
In reply to PM
so what I'm reading if he doesn't change his bowling action that injury will always come and go and never be eradicated...
