Elaine is the I first of all. Depends on which Elaine turns up and the condition of her troublesome Achilles

Brerzerk 2021-07-21 23:46:21

In reply to camos
Little amused no one was mentioning Sherica "Wya" Jackson

I think the 400m schedule will make it hard for SMU to double up effectively.

Oy sah! Yuh can't run 'way from yuh owna thread so, seen? big grin  I'm curious to know if you'll update your position based on any of the responses.

Also, Phillip, with your elephant memory might you have anything to add to Nitro's thread on the best schoolers' footie team? ...Asking for a friend (of Ewart). lol

No change, Shelly & Elaine, but Mikesiva is the expert. Coach Francis is great.

Next time you leave the frozen North for the sunny South Florida (apologies to Jackson Browne) you should check out Wally. He might wear a green shirt but he's cool peeps.

In reply to mikesiva

Going against the grain here, no logic just gut.

100m
1 - Elaine TH
2 - Shelly
3 - DAS

200M
1. Elaine TH
2. Sherika Jackson
3. DAS

Phillip-3 2021-07-25 14:44:38

In reply to JayMor

I will be there, but don't call me a snow bird. You have the nice warm weather & I want to play some golf, but big gators take a slow stroll across the green. Take a dip in your pool... another gator is cooling out in there. Visiting Surf Side is not an option. Visit West before heading back North? Can't breathe.. California fires burning down everything in sight. Check out Mid West? Tornados, drought or floods.

Next time don't mention any Frozen North sah.

mikesiva 2021-07-29 05:45:28

Starts tomorrow.
cool

JayMor 2021-07-29 11:45:41

In reply to Phillip-3

You have the nice warm weather...
Not me anymore, just Wally. I gave it up 7 years ago and returned to my home away from home, also in the Frozen North.

On gators, sink holes, falling buildings of Surfside, hurricanes and the like, try not to be like FanAttick, else you may get diagnosed by Doctor Dukes. lol lol

TriniStar 2021-07-30 11:12:08

Mr DukeStreet I did not forget you declared Rai will beat Warholm in Tokyo. Do not forget what you said or become nervous now that the heat is on lol

I am seeing a Gold medal for Warholm and possibly him breaking his own world record on this fast track

In an hour and a half.

Dina Asher Smith has a hamstring injury, and has pulled out of the 200m.

nitro 2021-07-31 14:04:46

In reply to TriniStar

That should be a good race but pales in compsrison to the female 100M and 200M.

JahJah 2021-07-31 14:10:28

In reply to mikesiva

I said this on another thread by mistake - That's not the race he wasn't intending to miss. big grin

nitro 2021-07-31 14:12:59

In reply to JahJah

Are you saying PJ does not watch Jamaica in the races?

nitro 2021-07-31 14:20:17

Asher-Smith being ridiculed by the Brits. Not surprising.

Come run for Jamaica beautiful.

Phillip-3 2021-07-31 16:55:33

Congrats Jamaica. My pick was Shelly-Ann but it doesn't matter, I am happy. Bolt also picked Shelly-Ann. I am sticking with Elaine for the 200.

TOKYO, Japan: (Gleaner)

Sprinting icon Usain Bolt is backing Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce to win the final of the women's 100m in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

The race is scheduled for 7:50 a.m Saturday, Jamaica time.

If Fraser-Pryce wins she would join Bolt as athletes with three gold medals in the 100m at the Olympic Games.

Jamaicans Elaine Thompson Herah and Shericka Jackson are also big favourites for the final, one of the most anticipated event at this year's Olympics.

“It's good competition, competition is good. Just like me and Yohan Blake over the years, we have always pushed each other to be better so It's really good that they are continuing to push each other because it benefits Jamaica that we have two top class athletes like this really pushing each other to run fast and become better,” said Bolt.

My prediction for the 200m done gone bad already....
lol
At least my prediction of the 1-2-3 in the 100m came true - I just the order wrong!

Phillip-3 2021-08-02 18:49:30

In reply to mikesiva

So the pick 3 lottery ticket you bought didn't work out as the correct order is required.

bedydread 2021-08-02 19:52:39

Well I got the winner of the 100 and I think I will have the 200, did not know DAS was injured or else I would have chosen differently.

Sometimes you have to go with your gut especially when guided by experience.

big grin

camos 2021-08-02 19:58:08

Hard to beat Elaine in the 200, Shelley's chance was in the 100.

Maispwi 2021-08-02 20:26:11

In reply to Benjie

For races from 100 - 800

The four fastest times in the previous round of races draw for lanes 3, 4, 5 and 6 or 4 - 7 if lanes 2 - 9 are being used.

The 5th and 6th times draw for lanes 7 and or 8 and 9 and the last times draw for lane 1 and 2 or 2 and 3 as the case may be

Dude I am sure you were shouting with joy when your Jamaican girls won so why are you upset when ProblemJay is overjoyed for that great victory by the Norwegian?

JahJah 2021-08-03 13:35:00

In reply to nitro

Who is upset? I am calling out and ridiculing him.

Title of the thread

Olympic Games Tokyo 100, 200 (Women)

Please open your eyes and see what's at play.

Oh, don't forgot this gem

problemjay 2021-05-11 20:43:39

Oh oh! It ill be pressure for a certain country at the Olympics

nitro 2021-08-03 13:37:30

In reply to JahJah

Why are you ridiculing him? Is it because he is a Trini who is overjoyed for a Norwegian victory? You can be ecstatic for athletes from other countries.

TriniStar 2021-08-03 13:38:53

Jah Jah sorry to say you are a very very little man lol

JahJah 2021-08-03 13:40:29

Jah Jah sorry to say you are a very very little man lol

You'll never know that because I won't be offering my tings like problemgay does to you.

JahJah 2021-08-03 13:42:29

In reply to nitro

Yes you can, but it looks bad when you do so only out of spite to 'a certain country'.

Now let us get back to discussing what THIS thread is about. It is about what, you ask? Let's check the title.

Olympic Games Tokyo 100, 200 (Women)

Do you have a contribution to make to the above?

nitro 2021-08-03 14:05:29

In reply to JahJah

Yes, I am comforted by a Jamaican winning the race. Just disappointed Shelly did not gain a medal in this. Pleased for Gabby.
