I only saw the last few overs of the match and Polly or Pooran just couldnt get under the ball... Polly wasnt timing it at all
In reply to powen001
That was very selfish of him to take that single off the last ball in the 19th over...his arrogance need to be adjusted...
Too many emotional reactions when we lose. Based on what occurred after doesn't appear we would win even if he refused the single. It's not like he is Walsh jr. or not a big hitter himself. We keep leaving too much to do at the end because we lack BATSMEN who gather runs right through the inning to compliment the big hits

plain an simple

I think you missed a bit of the match based on what you posted
In reply to powen001
As Croftie sey, they should break up the batting order - too many lefties! Windies management doesn't think outside the box!
In reply to powen001
Fletcher is not ready for prime time! Simmons, Fabian, and McCoy's return will put the team in pole position!
In reply to XDFIX
...and Gayle gone past prime time...or vice versa
In reply to powen001
We lost the match when Romario Sheperd gave away 38 runs.
If he had only given away 30....

In reply to Ewart
Never viewed him as a limited overs bowler
In reply to XDFIX
Earlier in the season they sent Dwayne Bravo up the order for this reason...and Bravo delivered
In reply to Ewart
Those Hafeez 4 overs for about 5 or 6 runs and you look back at that and say that we could have knocked a few singles here and there.
Which was worse for WI?
Romario Shepherd 3 0 38 0
or
Mohammad Hafeez 4 1 6 1
In reply to Narper
Good question.
Hafeez was always going to be stingy, and we know that. But 8 or 10 runs less given away would have certainly made the difference, as it did.
Look, I understand what the team management is doing. It is giving good exposure to many cricketers with a long-term view of getting a solid, fit and well-rehearsed group together for the World Cup. And that is why the goal in these matches is more to expose everybody than to win. Hence people like Romario and Oshane. Another objective would be to give them the practice to lift their game.
The long-term goal is to win the World Cup. If we can win a few series before that time, all well and good. But that is a secondary objective.

If they can't win these matches a yard, they can't win abroad, "irregardless"!

co signed...
it looked like he OUTFOXED himself.
Pakistan got accustomed to the parade of lefties...then the non sensical decision to farm the strike when he was not doing diddly...and Pooran hitting cleaner than ever...h
nah...
Polly all at him...this is his to own
In reply to Ewart
and Ewart..yes/
I understand the widening of the net...but when you convince yourself that Oshane and Fletcher and Shepherd are good enough...
nah.
In reply to powen001
Pollys interview said it all
only when he screwed up, he gives such an interview
he should take ownership for his fack up and lead by example
In reply to powen001
Why every match he has to back himself to bring the game home. He was coaching POORAN OUT THERE. Some of you have too much yampee in your eyes to notice.
That is what he does with Pandya brothers.
Notice Pooran was 1 from 6 balls and the same selfish Pollard whispered to him and then he started scoring. Some of you on this board real blind .
In reply to Brerzerk
Correct - check it out I think there were 47 dot balls and we lost by 7 runs.
