The core players are all in Jamaica while a couple of guys are with the T20 team.
The guys in Jamaica will take part in a "BEST" practice game.
I don't see the rush to name a squad

Can you name one International test organization, whose squads are not announce weeks or months before a tournament.
CWI should had let its fans know, that the squads announced months ago, will be the squads for the series in the region.
That was not done, hence we are all asking.

It’s called fan engagement
Alienating the few fans left for this format of the game isn’t a good policy for the board.
Unless the board’s stance is that there are so few fans of the test team anyway, that alienating them doesn’t matter in the overall scheme of things.
That’s the perception……even if it’s not the case or intentional.

Nowadays, team management has adopted a new policy.....they pick players in playing IX....who are not even in announced 15/18 players squad.....

What is the purpose of the "BEST" practice match?
The squad will be chosen from the guys currently in Jamaica in the bubble and a few guys from the T20 squad.

Horrible for JA yes but for CWI in a bubble not a big issue as Jamaicans don't watch cricket anymore much less Test Cricket!!! I mean I don't blame them when they produce so many wonderful athletes otherwise cricket has been on the back burner for years!!!

Back in the day as boy, May,August and October rain in Jamaica never stop(
plus August is the month that attracted the dangerous hurricanes on that Little Rock.
But times are a changing with climate change ,perhaps.

I just listened to last week podcast from the Mason and Guest show, The best vs best will be the team that played the last match, with Imran Khan joining the squad.
Roger Harper seem surprise that the team was not announced.

This info should had been sent to the media, who would had informed the public.

Home series squads are usually 13 and dropped or injured replaced. With Covid replacements would have to be from the bubble
