Arjun Nandu i say again this young man is good more importantly he has a really good head on his shoulder
In reply to bird
arjune nandu is his dad, very good batsman in the 90s for guyana
In reply to navindesigns
actually his dad was a leg spinner who was a very useful late order batsman
Top bat who can bowl- Nandu. Now the Boll-weevil is burrowing back into its damaged cocoon
In reply to FanAttick
And they did it with their second choice wicketkeeper batsman!!!!!

This current bunch is good. Maybe a bit under cooked due to lack of cricket from covid.
By the time u19 WC rolls around the crazy B guy will be hushed.

You should remember the name Isai Thorne who is not yet 17,so he has 3 more years at this level. He is the fastest WI bowler, played 4 matches and took 8 wickets which was the most by any West Indian and has loads of potential.
In reply to Dukes
Two of the guys he played with at Franklyn Stephenson academy, are signed with Warwickshire.
Che Simmons and Jacob Bethell.

A potential like SHETMYER and RANDIFORD? Eating rotis and increasing the belly measurement and failing fitness test.

au contraire mon ami - Leftie Gordon looks a cut above all others
As my good friend Samuel Clemens said: There are lies, damn lies and statistics
Here are the batting positions of the batsmen dismissed by Gordon and Thorne respectively ..
Thorne: 2,6,7,3,7,10,5,8
Here are the overs when the wickets fell to both pacers
Thorne: 26th, 36th, 49th, 4th, 31st, 35th, 12th, 36th
Until you repent for the error in your ways I will continue to be a Thorne in your side
Btw - young Gordon reminds me of a guy who had Big Pussy hopping like a cat on a hot tin roof(Yard vs Guyana Geddes-Grant limited overs championship - and organized a contract for him @Lancs) - Kenneth McCleod

There's the best reason why people should not always jump to statistics to prove their points about who is the best.Hopefully all those statistic minded people would take a little more into consideration.
impressed with Gordon's fast bowing action for a left hander. if he progresses he'll be a good asset to our cricket.
Best I've seen to a Wasim Akram style of run up and delivery
Teddy Bishop faded out in the later matches of the tour, the English figured him out it seem.

Later this year, there will be incontrovertible evidence of what I speak!!!

Obviously Dr Dukes was watching the games on Cricinfo
In reply to FanAttick
Even more obviously, you know nothing of the resourcefulness of the Dukester whose friends in England (former first class cricketers) hooked me up on a YouTube channel that showed the games. In addition I have seen Thorne before and have access to his stats. He has been timed at 82MPH and he is only 16 years old..
In reply to Dukes
How you Thorne was the fastest?
I can argue the same of Mc Kenny Clarke. He ramping it up around about the same age as Thorne. And hes pacey I know.
In reply to InHindsight
A CWI person told me that as well as the fact that he was timed at 82 MPH.Now if you have information that McKenny Clark bowls faster than that please share it with us.

FAKES, YOU ARE THE REAL FAKER.

No probs I'remember what you say.
In reply to FanAttick and Dukes
You are both right. Gordon was probably the best fastbowler on show but Thorne looked the fastest. Event if he wasnt, he looks like he will be one day. Not just because he is 16, tall and with long arms but because he has that fast bowlers attitude. Two very good prospects
