Windies are batting Hetmyer too high. Pant dropped him down the order for DC with great success.

Apart from Lewis, has any of the top batsman, batted sixty balls or more, the last 18 months?
From what I have seen, Lewis goes after the ball during the power play overs, with fielders on the boundary, he gift his wickets.
Pollard is the only player that has been showing his power.
Russell, Gayle, Pooran and Hetty, seem to be batting with a stick.
The bowling is even weaker than the batting.
We need a miracle to make it into the medal rounds.

You are right. They have Polly and DreRuss as superstrikers so Hety get squeezed out.

Clearly you have not put any thought into the above statement.
DC Capitals had two openers Shaw and Dhawan who both averaged over 30 and had scoring rates of 124 and 159 as well as Pant who also averaged over 30 with a scoring rate of 128.
The WI have no such players and without a significant contribution from Hetmyer will struggle to reach 140 in 20 overs.
Hetmyer could come in at # 6 with 7 overs left and beat the ball.No such situation is likely with this current iteration of the West Indies team.

So having thought it through thoroughly are you saying Lewis, Simmons and Pooran can't match DC'S top order. Btw neither Dhawan nor Shaw made India's t20wc team

Lewis,Simmons and Pooran are playing in a World Cup.
The DC Capitals trio of Shaw,Dhawan and Pant were playing in the IPL.

If you expect that Lewis, Simmons and Pooran will all average over 30 with similar scoring rates as that trio did in the IPL, then clearly you are in LA LA LAND!!!!!

Btw neither Dhawan nor Shaw made India's t20wc team

Your insertion of the above statement suggests/implies that you think that Lewis and Simmons are better T 20 players because they are playing in the T 20 WC.
If you do not think that then I fail to see the relevance of the statement since neither Lewis nor Simmons were selected for India's T 20 wc team

lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol

From what I have seen from the youngster, he has forgotten how to bat.
Hetmyer cannot face six good balls and respect the next.
He like Gayle and the Powerhitters on the team, only know one way to bat, that is swinging to the fence.

So is the openers fault that Hetty failed?

If Lewis, Simmons and Pooran aren't equal to, or better than, Dhawan, Shaw and Pant, then we might as well hand over the world cup now and come back home.

oh my, you have now demoted Hety to the like of Russell, King and Sammy, he was once thought as the 2nd the coming of Roy, Kali and Lara. What a fall.

I was merely postulating as to why Hetty should not bat # 6.You have unwittingly quoted me completely out of context to put forward exactly the opposite to what I was saying.Below is what I said on another thread

1.Chris Gayle MUST OPEN the batting. We have to get past our biases and feelings and recognize that he will play the first match. It would be a big mistake to have him bat at # 3."IR"Regardless of whether that first wicket is in the power play or not,Chris has to open because he always starts slowly and we can not have that slow start by him extending for a prolonged period.

2.Chase needs to bat # 3 with the 2 left handers,Lewis and Gayle before him and Hetmyer following at # 4.

3.The # 5 position should be occupied by either Pollard or Pooran depending on how many overs are gone and the score.

4. # 7 = Andre Russell, # 8 Dwayne Bravo, # 9 Akeil Hosein, # 10 Hayden Walsh and # 11 Obed McCoy.
