Vic Reid is a Jamaican novelist and historian. He wrote most of the lower level school books on The History of JA and the wider Anglo-Caribbean. His novels are usually based on historical events such as The Morant Bay Rebellion. He added much joy to my childhood.

I read "The Jamaicans", a wonderful novel by Reid on Juan de Bolas, the Spanish Maroon leader.
