How many times have you watched this classic
In reply to Chrissy
It is a really good movie you know especially considering the time it was done. So many featured in it no longer with us. Some good stage actors who were fantastic on camera. So
many talented behind camera geniuses and pioneers all gone. Everyone I've introduced this movie to considered it well done and a classic

I must have seen it at least 20 times

I was in it for a few seconds in the scene shot at the Sports desk area of the Gleaner when Adrian Robinson got the Photos. C Roy Reynolds was too as I passed
the picture to him and he gave it to Adrian..but they edited it out here. In the full length version that came out originally in JA, both of us faces
could be seen.
The funny thing is I never saw the movie when iut first opened and a colleague at Gleaner told me that he saw my face and C Roy Reynolds..we were Gleaner
staffers when the scene was shot pretty late in the evening.
A very enjoyable movie and ground breaking one too.
Yes I got to mingle with some of the pioneers and and Bradshaw was a delight on and off screen.
Can't believe its been 50 years. That little scene was shot in early summer of '71.
In Reply to Chrissy and Sir Hubie,
So much nostalgia, I was always disappointed I couldn't have the full length version to show to people here. I must have watched it 30 times. Trevor Rhone's Milk n Honey circa '80's is the only Jamaica movie to come close to that quality and that's thanks to Charles n Leonie.

They have it hard to come better than Charles Hyatt and Leonie Forbes. They had it all as actors in any format. Jamaica has had and still do
have rare and special talented people.
Present and future generations better have a long latter to reach heights set.But they can and hope they will. Fine legacy has been established.

Re being in The Harder They Come... Great to have that to tell, Hubie, much like me and the Red Stripe / Life is Just for Living advert.
Lemme ask you though, is C Roy Reynolds the guy who voiced many radio ads? I think it's his voice that's in my head promoing...
Festival five.
Celebrate with pride
Festival five.
And secondly, was he ever in the diplomatic corps, namely the consul in NYC?

Twice on the big screen, first time at Carib and second at Odeon. Then a few more times so far on DVD, and last time via Amazon Prime. And will watch again more times yet.

No. They cut C Roy Reynolds and me out of the scene. I had no speaking part; just handed the envelop with photo of Ivan to C Roy
who has a speaking part..' Wow, look at this' or was it .'.Raatid look at this'. Then he handed it to Adrian Robinson, the editor..
What impressed me is the one-take and print of most of the actors. ,,Director Henzell was a cool dude and made it very easy.
Braddie was a trip and a character fi real.
Jamaica will always be nice but I think overall it was much nicer..the people too.
A classic Caribbean movie, introduced a number of Jamaican musicians to the world. The album from the movie is one of my prized possessions.
In reply to hubert
Fi real - did you know Adrian died recently?
In reply to Chrissy
