The GOP’s ‘Critical Race Theory’ Obsession

Casper 2021-11-02 21:28:09

How conservative politicians and pundits became fixated on an academic approach.

In essence, America must not talk about race, it's just too sensitive a subject for the delicate feelings of White America and especially for its little "Johnnys amd Marys" who must occupy the racist world created and perpetuated by their forebearers.

Most importantly, as minorities look to overtake Whites in numbers, White Ameica wants to make sure that its racism system finds another generation to be passed onto. But never dare say America is racist nor always was, and there's nothing so much as systemic racism.

Tonight, Virginians would have cast their vote and many would have done so based on these "Alternative" facts.

Not surprising at all. I have been following its politics from the time I stepped on its shores in 1970.

Well the Republicans have scared the voters with their " Critical race theory " propaganda and it looks like it is working. The two Governors races are close

That is the point, whatever coded word for racism works for them.

States Rights, Welfare Queen...heck even Obamacare because it conjured up in their mind a black man in a position to make decisions.

That is such a cogent observation – and the dumb ass democrats are not savvy enough to package those talking point to the voters and say – look, this is what they are hoodwinking, tricking you with. It was interesting to see a reporter interviewing a voter in Virginia yesterday who said he was voting Republican because he was against the teaching of ‘critical race theory’ – the reporter asked him what is ‘critical race theory’ – he said he didn’t know but he was against it.

It is working because the left went about it in the wrong way which scared and turned off a lot of good moderate European Americans

The left need to learn how to promote social agendas- the right wing does well in this area.

What is it? The vids I saw on YouTube are either articulated positions from the right or the left making fun of the right. I haven’t seen an articulated position on the left

Seems like 'the left' is screwed either way because of the division.
