The top 4 already decided. USA, Mexcico, Canada and Panama.

Good goal by Antonio but was let down by a piss poor defense.

Antonio must be regretting his choice. I think he still had a chance to make the England squad but chose to play for an incredibly poor team instead.

1) The JFF is beyond pathetic
2) Coach Withmore is an embarassment
3) The division within of "foreign" and "local" players perpetuated by COACH Withmore and CAPTAIN Blake will continue to hurt the chances of the best XI taking the field.
4) That best XI would be:

GK - Blake
D - Lowe
D - Mariappa (or Moore)
D - Pinnock
LM - Lawrence
CM - Williams
CDM- Grant
AM - Morrison
RM - Brown (or Leigh)
F - Antonio
F - Gray (or Lowe)
3-5-2 which can easily switch to 5-3-2

Bold print is "foreigner"

What is it that coach Whitmore and captain Blake are doing to perpetuate this division?

Their interviews (not guess work or hearsay) says it all. I think the JFF took down the "Tappa" interview but some of it can still be found online.

Bro there are only 2 world class players on that team, Antonio and Blake.

We need players who are playing in the top leagues in Europe. The USA has 13 of their squad in those leagues.

For us to get the top players we need a professional organization. This JFF is so pathetic...

See my point #1 in the earlier post - the JFF is pathetic.

Now, where I disagree with you, is about world class players. We have world class players, we either call them and don't start them or call them then make excuses as to why they didn't travel or don't call them at all.

The following is an outstanding starting XI for Jamaica (if we assume the top leagues in the world are a good filter AND if we have a coach who can.....coach) that could win CONCACAF qualifiers:

GK : Blake
D : Bell (or Lawrence)
D : Pinnock
D : Moore (or Mariappa or worse case Lowe)
D : Walker-Peters
CDM : Stewart ( or Grant)
M : Johnson (or Williams)
AM : Morrison
RW : Lowe
F : Antonio
LW : D.Gray (or Bailey begrudgingly)

Seldom do you find in the world a team with eleven world class players and you will never find eleven world class players on a CONCACAF team. The above team could easily win the CONCACAF qualifiers.

The following are world class players:

Blake - ranked in the top 20 in the world
Pinnock - one of the top central defenders in the top league & if he had not played for Jamaica he would be ahead of Mings in the England team right now!
Walker-Peters - considered the top right back in England
Morrison - obvious quality
Antonio - needs no introduction
D. Gray/L.Bailey - doing well in the top league in the world.

I do like that team and yes I at this time I rate D. Gray over Bailey. Walker-Peters and many more would represent the country. They will not come however if the JFF act as if they are simply managing a corner league team.

I would suggest that the remaining matches we seek some younger players however with an eye for the 2026 WC. Lawrence, Mariappa, Grant and Stewart are on the wrong side of 30. Maybe, just maybe we can capture some of the U21 guys before England call them up for a game to block us. We should target the likes of Taylor-Hart, Dujon Sterling, Reece Oxford (Neville Oxford grandson), Reiss Nelson and Max Aarons.

Time to blood the talented Kaheem Parris and Dwayne Atkinson. The 2022 dream is over, time to build.

We hug up the "foreigners" when they achieve great things with England, Canada and USA. I would prefer they do great things for us as well. If we we don't like foreigners then we should not accept the help from the "Diaspora".

Some of these foreigners embrace Yard more than even us who live here. I remember at Poughkeepsie high school on graduation day folks with Jamaican heritage had to buss a dance to a chune while walking up for their certificate. never saw that in Jamdung.

Antonio visited the Office 4 or 5 times before to watch the Reggae Boyz play. These guys maybe be third generation Jamaican connection but they do embrace the culture.

Tell that to the "patriots" who live on the rock.

Note also, KW-P has been asking to be included. How do you explain his absence?

For example, go to U tube and type in "andre blake interview about foreign players"

Is that the way your captain should be speaking especially in the public about a team he is leading.

Errrmmm, what side of it do you think Antonio is on? You think if he were 26/27 that he would bother being involved in the JFF's utter bullshit?

Actually, at that age, he along with Grant tried to get the attention of the JFF to get "involved in the JFF's utter .....". The JFF turned them down.

This not only counters your argument, I post this here more to silence the locals who say Antonio only came to Jamaica when he is old and cannot make the England team.

Presently, Antonio and Pinnock (he wont get a decent look in as D.Lowe's spot must be protected) could walk into the England squad but for them getting capped by Jamaica.

At age 26/27, I don't believe Antonio was as hot as he is now, so it's not really a counter to my argument. He is now pretty much approaching the England door to start knocking, but may feel (obviously just a presumption) that his age will work against him. Of course he can still make England's squad, but it's all about weighing options and being strategic. Call it risk management if you wish.

Do you honestly believe that if he were banging on the England door at age 26/27 that he would want to involve himself in this mess? He'd have more time to play with, so to speak.

Do you know one of the top English (and world) rated defender is currently begging the JFF to bring him into the squad but since he would displace a "protected" player his request is not being considered?

That should answer your question.

Now make no mistake, I agree with you 100% the JFF is a mess.

Well, I know many 2nd gen Jamaicans who have love for the country. They go there on extended holidays (maybe even lived there for a short period), spend a lot of time with family etc etc, and are under no illusions about what kind of place/society England really is.

I've never intimated that players like Antonio don't care for Jamaica, and are only flat out users. I have enough foreign born cousins to know that's not even remotely always the case.

The members of the JFF technical committee all have a bias to local players. Folks on that committee hold stakes in local clubs. I am not surprised therefore that they would protect positions for their favored local players. Conflict of interest be damned.

Exactly, and some of the players on the field and on the bench are complicit. That is the "team" some of us are cheering on hoping to get to the World Cup.
