And people wonder why the Reggae Boyz are struggling despite having quality players? Without a competent coach we will not progress. Yes we can win but that is not the expected result.

Whats Tappers credentials as a coach? Man score a little one goal in World Cup and suddenly crowned king!
The JFF management team nuh ready!
In reply to FanAttick
Pathetic. Prep school teams train better.
In reply to FanAttick
The players must be laughing their ass off with this joker.
As much as I find this guy moronic Jamaica needs Craig Butler to lead the JFF.
Ronald Koeman is available
In reply to Arawak
The JFF Technical Committee will not approve. Koeman will want to choose the best available players. The tribalists at the JFF will not accept that.
Tappa should have been BOOTED from the coach position about 5 years ago. his last successes were in 2016, and recall too - he himself had resigned as head coach in 2013 ...
That was the signal to NOT ever take him back as coach. Not every able player is an able COACH.

Brilliant goal from Antonio 1-1
In reply to Chrissy
Brilliant indeed
In reply to FanAttick
Why Grant and Ravel not given a start? Tappa is a reall asshole....Walker and Hacker not even half as good as these guys.
In reply to FanAttick
Reid should have scored
Good draw dat but yard had lots of chances in dat 2nd half
In reply to Chrissy
ReggaeBoyz were robbed. The Damian Lowe goal should have stood
In reply to FanAttick
Agreed.
We should have appealed that decision.

Agree
GK : Blake (C) - didn't have much to do, however, he has to up his ball distribution game.
RB : Brown (B) - this kid should have been starting ahead of Alvas Powell and Fisher all
along. As a side note - he has blazing speed.
CH : Lowe (B+) - pity his goal didn't stand. Perhaps it's too late for him to learn to (a)
reduce the cane-cutter tackling and (b) the "outta-mi-life" clearances when
their are open teammates within passing distance. In the first half alone he
had 8 such clearances and only 1 went to a teammate.
CH : Moore (C+) - a steady game.
LB : Lawrence (C-)-held his own, however, recently, he has been playing like a tired man.
CDM: Watson (D)- his cane-cutting tackles was a yellow card away and he did get the card.
M : Williams (B+) - but for Antonio would have been my man of the match. Kept the passing
game alive. Marked out Busio for most of the game. Lots of tackling.
AM : Walker (D-) - someone should he arrested for starting this player ahead of Ravel
Morrison. His highlight moment was his miskick and falling flat on his
back in trying to put the ball back in the net to celebrate Antonio's
goal.
LW : Bailey (F) - he made three passes to his teammates during the game.
RW : Reid (F) - was busy, however, his missed goal may just have been the final nail in
the coffin carrying our World Cup qualifying bid.
F : Antonio (A+) - wonder strike, I cannot recall a better goal by a Jamaican at this
level. He is clearly the finished article as evidenced by his tracking
back to tackle and his passing game was a mild surprise. That this man
had to sit in El Salvador until 15minutes to go is a sad judgement on
those in charge of Jamaican football.
BENCH
Once the almost-real team hit the pitch with 23 minutes to go, Jamaica dominated the USA.
Leigh - made an outstanding case to be the starting left back!
Grant - industrious and showed an attacking flare.
Morrison - easily and by a great distance our best attacking midfielder.
Flemmings - it was easy to be better than Bobby DeCordova-Reid on the night.
Fisher - not sure what that substitution was about.
Seemingly, our best format is the 4-3-2-1 and "foreigner" aside, this team (with some help) might still get us to the World Cup:
GK - Blake
D - (l-r) Lawrence or Leigh/Pinnock/D.Lowe/Brown
M - Grant/Morrison/Williams
Wing (l-r) J.Lowe/D.Gray
F - Antonio
In reply to JoeGrine
Unless we bring quality players from the top leagues in Europe this is done.
At this stage players such as Antonio are better off saving themselves to preserve their club form and mental state for a tough season ahead. I would say to this JFF thanks but no thanks.
In reply to nitro
I hear you and not much to disagree with there.
In reply to FanAttick
reggae boyz should have won that game yesterday. reid was missed from close range with only one attacer on his side.
Look pon di bright side. The dude's who scored each have a Jamaican parent.
But anyway, who is number 21? Him fi SHAME!!!!!
In reply to JahJah
#21 had an important role to play, he had to be used by the coach to keep Ravel Morrison on the bench.
In reply to JoeGrine
Don't get me started on Ravel Morrison being on the bench. That defies logic.
But back to number 21.

Demarai Gray is the missing part of the puzzle. If we can get him for the January window we still have a fighting chance
In reply to FanAttick
I think we need more than that to win 6 consecutive games. We need Ivan Toney and Demarai Gray upfront with Antonio. Rico Henry, Isaac Hayden and Ravel in midfield.
Ethan Pinnock, Mason Holgate, Kyle Walker-Peters and Max Aarons in defense.
In reply to nitro
Mavericks take..cynical but I agree
Those resources can be pulled in after we qualify
if we get can get them that would be awesome but realistically I will settle for Gray
Gray on the right wing, Bailey on the left wing ..Antonio and Roofe upfront and were in business
.
In reply to FanAttick
Can Jamaica lodge an appeal for Lowe's goal?
It appears South Africa has done something similar.
In reply to FanAttick
D. Gray getting his papers sorted out is one thing. JFF calling him is another. Now "Tappa" playing him is an even bigger hurdle.

A Jamaican team of: 4- 3-2-1 Blake - Leigh/Pinnock/Lowe/Brown - Grant/Williams/Morrison - J.Lowe/D.Gray - Antonio can hold it's own with any team in CONCACAF.
KWP has been trying to get the JFF's attention to no avail.
What's the story re: Nicholson? I heard some pundits touting him and blasting Tappa for keeping him on the bench!
In reply to JoeGrine
Rumors: Tappa Sacked: Ricky Hill new coach
In reply to FanAttick
So you need to achieve Mission Impossible and you choose a man who has never coached a top team.
This would be like Manure firing Ole and hiring Tappa Whitmore.
In reply to nitro
If the rumors become reality, it signals a move by the JFF to coalesce around the English born players via their head coach and Hill can do that, Withmore failed miserably at doing that.
Additionally and most importantly, the JFF does not have the money to hire a top tier coach.
In reply to JoeGrine
Well that would be a good move.
They need to become friends of the Andrew Holness Gang, they seem to place their hands on a lot!
In reply to FanAttick
Would take a Herculean effort to claw enough points to pass Panama, but that's why you play the matches, right
In reply to JoeGrine
This long low ball trying to reach forwards won't work!! A one/two passing game/build-up is our game. Up close our field looked terrible. Long passes like those gets intercepted and create counters by the way
On Whitmore he does have a UEFA B coaching licence. But yes he is a POOR coach and has not grown.
In reply to Brerzerk
Agreed, yet Lowe and to a lesser extend the goalkeeper does that with annoying frequency.
In reply to michaelmax
It is ironic that a piss poor JFF is firing anyone. Tappa is not good enough and should have gone a long time ago however nothing will change for local football with this crop who cannot run a corner league team.
In reply to nitro
Even more damning is that the present voting structure will ensure another incompetent leadership structure will arise when this one end it's term.
