he averaged 67, then people wanted to see him bat more so he came out of retirement at 45 for 1 last game, it unfortunately dipped his average to 60.83
He's the second greatest batsman of all time, very unfortunate his career cut short by ww2. i think he chose money over country at times too which affected his total number of games

Stop thinking. He played all 19 Tests that WI played before WW2..His career was effectively over after the war thru age and injuries.
There was no money except in League cricket which he like Constantine the fore runner and the Ws played when there
was no West Indies cricket because matches were sparse in those days.
