. In all seriousness, I think that Simmons can only do so much with the limited talent there is. How do you immediately improve a team of players that is averaging in the 20s and 30s? Not one of our test batsmen have an average of 40 or above. Also, name one generational talent in this current setup.

There is serious problem with the whole management team ie Selectors Coaches Captains, They are getting their strategies all wrong - The world cup was a disaster Poor team selection poor strategy and poor captaincy.
Today, I dont really understand the thinking - Lets assume the management team agreed the pitch was going to spin so they needed 2 spinners, ok fine, then theey decided they were going in with only 2 pacers, ok fine, but how on earth was Gabriel going to be one of the two pacers, you will stuggle to get 15 overs out of him in a days play, he is always off the field and has a very high propensity to break down. ie a big risk
IMO Cornwall and Chase should not play together, pick one. then you will get your other pacer in.
The decisions being made by the management team is baffling not only to me but most cricket pundits.

Agree with your logic, the WI also is playing with 9 fielders. both Gabriel and Cornwall are liabilities in the field.
