How long would they had lasted on that wicket.
The second inning dismissal of Blackwood, come to mind, when thinking of building an inning, this player and match I remember.
I called QPO numerous times that day, just to get the score.

i believe, if i am reading this MB correctly, that had those players been included, WI would have won this match.

the best player is the next player until he plays

The three have talent but what we are seeing despite the recent losses is some fight in the team which comes from team unity. How would these three "star boys" fit in? That is important.

Let us continue with the same batting line up, they have been consistent . We know what to expect and treat their failure as a victory.

When will you step up and advocate for that playing time?

In reply to Overthrow

that is the role of the WI selectors and the punters on this MB.

I've watched the last 25 years of failing, and I witnessed the previous 25 years of greatness.
Don't try to insult my intelligence
by picking guys to test, from playing 120 balls cricket.
It makes absolutely no sense
Can Pooran, Lewis or Hetmyer bat two sessions?

Whoaa there big boy. I am advocating for change of the middle order batting, not for T20 players getting a freebie. Hetty and Evin, yes. Mayers promoted. Bonner stays.

Change has come by performance, not selection by looking into a crystal ball.
If any of the three were performing at test cricket or regional 4-day levels, I will be dancing for joy.
Evin Lewis last 4-day series was Mar 2017, he played one game scored 22 & 25., having a fc average of 30.72, 1-100 & 8-50
Shimron Hetmyer last 4-day series was March 2020, he played 2 games scored 52 runs, having a fc average of 31.71, 1-100 & 12-50
Nicholas Pooran has only played in five matches scoring 2-50.
These three players because of their background set a standard for me.
Everton Weekes fc average 55.34
Seymour MacDonald Nurse fc average 43.93
Basil Butcher fc average 49.90
I've added this player, because his background is similar
Shivnarine Chanderpaul fc average 53.17

I recall the series against India where our opening bowlers were Clive Lloyd and Charlie Davis. Our cricket was in dire straits. Shortly after a team captained by Kanhai with very few experienced players toured England. They won the series and the rebirth of our cricket took root. We are once again at that stage where bold vision is required.

Our former players became pros by playing county cricket.
My Antiguan brother an I spent two days here in Calgary with Sir Everton, the last evening at dinner he was able to answer my brother's question as to why Viv was selected ahead of Jim Allen, it was, When Jim was scoring the occasional 100, Viv was consistently scoring fifties, now that Viv is scoring hundreds, Jim is scoring the occasional fifties.
He also told us about Seymour Nurse practicing for seven days, from sunrise to sunset, in preparation for Australia.
In Bobby Simpson's book he wrote, he felt sorry for the young man as he walked to the wicket, later the inning he felt sorrier for his bowlers.
Nurse scored a double in that match.
