...the same aerial shots. Can't the powers that be see it's time to cull him?

How many years has Blackwood gotten out playing...
In reply to Courtesy
Blacks is no worse than the other players.
they are all lacking and sometimes you wonder how we can see it and the management and coaches cant.
and if they do, why it takes so long to correct

Talk about being focused, that's our Courtesy!
In reply to Drapsey
Courtesy is right and so is Openning who often attributes these mistakes to muscle memory and how the corrective procedure is plenty reps, which i doubt our players will appreciate

We are in an era where coaches are only permitted to encourage and nudge players. No harsh words or fitness demands allowed. Players can pass fitness tests today, gain 20 pounds in one month, and still get picked to play.

Blackwood said this WI squad is great with hunger in their eyes
So alyuh criticizing a great batsman who is hungry
I can VIVidly remember early in Woody's test career....Sir Viv Richards telling Blackwood that he must play his natural game.....
Woody tek dat to heart....aerial is his natural game....he not changing dat
When Blackwood first came into the test team, someone asked him about that shot selection, and he said he was preparing for the IPL.
It seems he is still trying to accomplish his goal. Oh well, it seems he will live or die with that shot.

you know that Blacks is not the only one in this team that has problems.
Braff still cant dominate bowling after all these years
Bonner tries hard
Hope has stage fright
Mayers is hit or miss and loses concentration in the 40-50 if he gets there
Chase looks lost
Holder is no more an all than he is a rounder
Da Silva still squares up but is a fighter

A good call!
I say bring in the Hetty, Lewis, Pooran and O Smith of this world, they can't do any worse!
In reply to XDFIX
From a probability viewpoint, yes, they can, but that should not prohibit them from getting a try

I know he is not the only one who has that mindset of playing IPL.
I am somewhat repeating what he told a friend when he made that 85 and 47 N O at Kensington Oval.

Well you cant be a fella for trying
Our guys and our coaches should read the Crincinfo report today on how the NZ batsmen played the Indian spinners and how Boult bowled on a spinner's wicket. It provides excellent coaching tips.
