ST JOHN’S, Antigua — Following PCR tests administered on arrival in Pakistan, Cricket West Indies (CWI) can confirm that four members of the West Indies touring party have tested positive for COVID-19 and will now undergo a period of self-isolation.

Left-arm pacer Sheldon Cottrell, allrounders Roston Chase and Kyle Mayers, along with a non-coaching member of the team management unit returned positive tests in Karachi and will therefore be unavailable to participate in the upcoming Pakistan series. All four members are fully vaccinated and are without major symptoms.

This is a baptism of fire for our team which is in rebuilding mode,to lose players now makes it even more difficult.I feel we will surprise people with people like B.King O.Smith,O.Thomas,D.Bravo if they play smart.I was hoping to see Fabian Allen,I was really hoping to see him,is he not fit,he is a big loss.This team is in rebuilding mode and the experience will do them good,we will run Pakistan close and that will be good,if we win,then brilliant.
