ST JOHN’S, Antigua — Following PCR tests administered on Wednesday in Pakistan, Cricket West Indies (CWI) can confirm that five more members of the West Indies touring party have tested positive for COVID-19 and will now undergo a period of self-isolation.

Three players: wicketkeeper/batsman Shai Hope, left-arm spinner Akeal Hosein, allrounder Justin Greaves; along with Assistant Coach Roddy Estwick, and Team Physician Dr Akshai Mansingh returned positive results in the latest round of testing carried out by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

Isn't this the second time Shai Hope has tested positive for Covid?

It is, dono which variant hes been infected with, but omicron seems to have a high reinfection rate

My question is, where are people like Russell, Holder, Hetmyer? Why are these guys allowed to walk in and out of the West Indies team as they please? What kind of leadership we have in WIC when anybody can just say, I'm off to play cricket in Australia, Bangladesh etc when the West Indies team is touring another country, forcing them to tour with a third eleven? Can't these WIC leaders see that the West Indies team is the only one in the world where this kind of rubbish happens? These guys need to either get serious or disband the West Indies team and forget about criket!

I am surprised that People are surprised. The stark fact is
that those in charge of West Indies Cricket have been and are
Grossly incompetent for many years.

If Cricket in the Region is to improve the Removal of the
WICBC Must first be removed from the governance of Cricket
in the Region.

I have held this opinion for many years, and I have seen
absolutely no reason to change my opinion. I am reminded
of the well known Biblical phrase :
