Eoin Morgan will lead a 16-strong T20I squad in England's tour of the West Indies.

The five-match series takes place in Barbados from January 22 to 30, with the first match scheduled only four days after the final Ashes Test is due to end.

Therefore, none of England's Ashes squad have been considered for selection, while Paul Collingwood will stand-in for Chris Silverwood as coach.

"We have selected a strong squad with some serious batting power and a balanced attack as we begin preparations ahead of the T20 World Cup in Australia," said Collingwood.

In reply to doosraI think so,they won't miss none of the olayers on Ashes tour, they will tear up West Indies, there are some big hitters on that England side and. They have a very good mixture of spin and real pace.If we win one match I consider that very good.

It hurts my heart to say this but I really don't expect much from our team anymore. I hope that we can beat Ireland because we drew the last two t20 series against them. Does anyone realise that we have never won a t20 series against Ireland? Both of these matches were in the Caribbean. That my friends is unacceptable

It surprises me that we haven't moved on with improvement, the weaker teams like Ireland seems to be catching up with us,we had a head start but it hasn't worked for us.

Is this the extra tour Skerritt bargain for?

It just goes to show. The last time England played us in the Caribbean, we were bowled out for our lowest ever t20 total and lost the series. Take note we can't beat Afghanistan in t20s. I recall that they were the only team that beat us when we won the 2016 t20 World Cup.

Clarity in the process of selection goes a long way to build confidence in players...the players could also on individual basis prepare themselves... England made the players aware about the tour so that they can prepare themselves mentally also....but West Indies Board would only published the selected players on eve of the match or 2-3 days before at most.... poor policy....
