reminds back in the day when Dinthill Tec , Vere Tec and Clarendon College were kings of Dacosta Cup football back in the 80's

1980- Vere Technical
1981- Dinthill Technical
1982- Cornwall College
1983- Cornwall College
1984- Ruseas
1985- Ruseas
1986- Herbert Morrison Technical
1987- Ruseas
1988- Herbert Morrison
1989- Ruseas

It happens that I went to Cornwall...notice 80% of the winnings in the 80s were by schools in the west.

fair assessment but Vere, Dinthill and Clarendon College were always in the mix but your point is very much taken. The period of mid 70's and early 80's were the strong years for those trios in my eyes.

The Ruseas team of the 80s gave us some very talented national players.

Dinthill's foray at or near the top was only between 1978-1982. They are a rung or two below the Vere's, Clarendon, Cornwall and Ruseas. They belong beside Herbert Morrison.

No chance, your opinion does not match the facts. Dinthill became relevant in 1978 and since then the titles have been shared as such:

Ruseas 11
Clarendon 7
Cornwall 6
StETHS 4
Glenmuir 3
Herbert Morrison 2
Dinthill 2
Vere 1
Frome 1
Godfrey Stewart 1
Garvey Maceo 1
St James 1

Dinthill was unfortunate to lose Barry as principal so early, he would have built a powerhouse in Linstead!
