To take on Mexico, Panama and Costa Rica

Only the Almighty can get this team over the line. With only two players from a top league vs Mexico with their squad packed with top global players we will need divine intervention.

I was expecting Paul Hall to shore up the defense and midfield. Instead he has a weaker midfield and attack.

I was scanning through Reggae Boyz WCQ over the years and realized they did not take part in the 80's. Now we see how little this JLP government cares about football. Is it a JLP thing not to care about sports other than horse racing?

They got rid of Jorge Penna who transformed the football and brought Jamaica into the modern era of the beautiful game.
Said he cost too much.
But they like to wave the Flag and parade with it when the Boyz do well.
The more things change the more ....

1) Grant has no personal issues
2) Mexico is lacking three of their top starters
3) Jamaica should have added another CDM (Grant) as Stewart is injury prone and is the lone out and out CDM selected.
4) Blair Turgott should have been called as we are lacking true wingers.

Grant in my opinion did well. I guess Hall does not see him fitting in his style of play.

Jamaica has not won a home WCQ since October 2011, over 10 years ago.

Perhaps FIFA should consider using officials from CONMEBOL countries to do CONCACAF matches & vice versa if necessary. Jamaica would do well with the points lost when the Costa Rican ref. disallowed the goal when they played USA.

Those same CONMEBOL referees you are asking for may have sent off Lowe and Brown in previous matches. We have to look at both sides of the same coin.

I wasn't referring to the sending off. When two teams fighting for a play off spot and the ref. is from one of the countries anything can happen.
Some of these rules need to be changed. You should be able to replace the person being sent off with a substitute. When someone is ejected from basketball, baseball or hockey the person is replaced.

In cricket your best batsman injured and you have to bat one short. Even in football (soccer) it was the Americans who couldn't even play good football started having several balls at matches to speed up the game when the ball goes out of touch. Cricket also made an adjustment as I remember when Basil Butcher hit a new-ish ball so hard that it got out of shape and the match was held up as they had to rub the replacement new ball until it matched the defective one. Now they have several used balls at matches. Things don't have to remain a certain because it started that way over a hundred years ago.
