I suspect that's the case but Smith bowled one over for 4 runs yesterday. Did nothing wrong. He has been selected primarily as a bowler. Should be given the chance to fail. If Pollard is so against his selection he should step down as captain, not deny Smith his chance

Why is Smith playing if he ain't going to bowl? This is very poor use of the young man. Smith can't just be playing for his big hitting when he bats at number 9 and after Pollard, Allen and Shepherd who are big hitters. Are we playing a number 9 specialist batsman? How is Smith going to develop and improve his bowling and learn at the international level if he doesn't bowl? He was the second highest wicket taker as a pace bowler in the last CPL. I'm not liking this.

I'm sure it's not as simple as trini vs others. He is quite happy for Allen to bowl more than his needed quota. Maybe a hold over from a world cup selection dispute, but either way not good

I am starting to think Mumbai has plans to purchase Smith in the IPL auction and Pollard doing his best not to highlight Smith anymore to the world. If that's not it then this cannot be good for the young man. He bowled one over yesterday for 4 runs and has not seen the ball again. I have not even seen a ball gone to him in the field lol

Tactics must be changed as the match progresses
We do not want to go back to the Holder days when the order of bowling was never changed regardless of the situation of the match
Obviously England came with a different approach therefore the tactics had to be different
