Bossman, you need to work on your thread titling skills. Replace the title with “war between Pollard, Odean Smith and WIPA” and this thread will have legs. It appears that there was nothing wrong with Smith during the first two T20’s against England. A zoom conference call is scheduled tomorrow involving Adams, Haynes, WIPA and others at which, according to Mason, Pollard’s leadership will be a subject of discussion.

I happened to be in a certain place years ago. The Chairman of selectors did not know me. He was speaking about the dropping of Franklyn Rose and said, "It would not be an issue (when the match is played tomorrow) because another Jamaican is being selected."
I will never know if he was more biased than anyone else but it showed me that things which I did not expect to be an issue were being considered.

It will be interesting to learn of the source of this supposed feud between Pollard and Smith. Mason said something about Smith being under pressure to change his agent, but he did not elaborate. However, he did say that none of the mics will be muted during the zoom meeting at 9 AM tomorrow morning

If what I am hearing is true, that zoom call tomorrow will be hot. As the story goes, a certain agent apparently is interested in Smith. Someone in the CWI hierarchy allegedly approached Smith and recommended that he sign with this agent and Smith refused to do so. It appears that WIPA is alleging that Smith is being victimized because of his refusal to sign with the agent in question

Well they are playing and as far as i have heard, there are no complaints from them. When Brian Lara had failures like Keith Atherton and Carlisle Best playing in front of him(lara was first picked for a WI team in 1989) and Viv was regularly risking losing by not picking his strongest batting unit, you ever heard Lara behave like this? Quoting principles based on a few text messages and one talented.....and one crap player's complaints.....as i said.....rubbish

Man up to now every one of plly's decisions can be justified by solid tactics. Jason and Sheldon had a great game in the first match so Odean would not have gotten much chance to bowl then. The pitch was more true in the second game and thus the par score would have been a lot higher so you needed to take pace off the ball to control England's scoring. Which is what pollard did. Odean does not bowl slower balls as yet, do you expect pollard to think that he would magically get the skill in one match? And Rovman came in and scored a hundred in the third game. Can anyone argue with that?
