Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton was ninth fastest, complaining of aerodynamic "bouncing", the single biggest problem faced by the world champions so far in this new era of F1.
The F1 needs Jockeys and not drivers

Formula 1 Junkies...
I am amazed that Mercedes is so far behind on that car. Its like they started to work on it in January.

The whole world is surprised of their lagging...

It may take all of Hamilton's skill as a driver to keep pace with Ferrari and Red Bull this season.
That Ferrari car looks quick.

Ferrari off to a good start to the season.
A 1-2 in Qatar, and second to Verstappen in Jeddah.

That makes things exciting and Not predicable..

A mean Ferrari didnt even bother to put any money in their 2021 car, so it is supposed to be solid. All that Italian mob money cant go to waste . But its not unusual for Ferrari to be quick over the first few races and then disappear down the stretch. Let see how it unfolds with this new car.
Mercedes might need to contact Range rover for its air ride suspension if it continues like this...

Hamilton got lapped by the redbull this weekend. He barely managed to overtake 1 car this and the car he overtook retired the next lap
Something is definitely not right at Mercedes. 4 races in and not one improvement in the car since day one. That is unacceptable. The team look like its the first year in formula 1
In reply to carl0002
Yeah, Mercedes really struggled in Italy.
Verstappen first
Perez second
Norris third

They go need to switch to the Car they tested on day 1 in Feb or March else this going to get really embarrassing not only for the drivers but for the engineers and mechanics.
Mercedes has stated that the performance of the car and its
simulations are not in sync. and that is a problem, this
information is what I read in one of the English Newspapers
I do not remember which one.
In the race also, there was also misunderstanding regarding
Hamilton coming into the Pits to change his tires. The Pit
Crew thought that Hamilton would have come into the Pits when there was the Accident, and Hamilton believed that his
Pit Crew would have told him to come in to change his tires
Russell was called in, as a result he finished the race in 5th Position while Hamilton did not come in to change his
Tires , that meant that his worn Tires had much less grip
than Russell towards the end of the race .
Had Hamilton come into the Pits to change his Tires, he
more than likely would have been at least in a higher position ,than at least his Teammate Russell.
Budget caps and limited aero testing hurting Mercedes real bad this year.
Lots of races remaining so not impossible for Mercedes to come back hard.

He was down to 17th at 1 point after coming in contact with Magnusson and suffered a puncture. Seemed like the car worked better this week end. Now that they have gotten over the purposing, its time to turn up that engine.

Hamilton eighth.
Well Ferrari had a double DNF yesterday. In an earlier comment I said it is not unusual for Ferrari to start off strong and then falter mid season. Seems we are at the point now where its downhill from here onwards. We will see.
As for Mercedes. they ran 3rd and 4th but that could be as a result of both Ferrari's DNF. I can't fathom Mercedes can't even get a half decent car halfway into the season. This is bad, nobody saw this coming. But I wonder if they have something up their sleeve. Cant believe they are so inept for this long.

LeClerc is a good driver but he's inexperience. I was hoping Sainz would have pushed Verstappen in the final laps at the Canadian GP but he just didn't have the pace and/or opportunities.
It was also nice to see Lewis on the podium again. He's giving everything he has to get as much out of that car this year.

It seems like not only the Mercedes has lost a step but it seems Hamilton has lost an edge too. Hamilton spent about 10 laps trying to get around Norris with Verstappen behind Hamilton. After making an attempt tp past he got outa shape and Verstappen passed him. Then in the next lap Verstappen breezed past Hamilton. All of a sudden Hamilton couldnt even keep up with Norris after vers overtook him. Maybe its the tires but it seems Hamilton tentative...bad..

Man you always 1 race behind. You realize Verstappen was handed the WC this weekend in Japan.
He got full points for 30 minutes and 1 tire change worth of racing.
Yes, same deal with Hamilton again....
