There is what can be a piece of unnoticed brilliance. When Elaine was in trouble she came back by relaxing rather than 'stiffening up' that is why she didn't end up out of the frame. There's enough confidence their.

I remember little 'Wia' Williams, one of our best
podium in 400, 100, 4x1, 4x4 with the relays being gold.
sure she is in our top 10 200m runners. What has she not done in sprints?
I expect the Oregon track to bring her down to 10.6's

Why? Is Elaine carrying an injury? I'm worried about her. Is this another World Champs jinx?

Jackson and Blake

KINGSTON, Jamaica – The 2011 World champion Yohan Blake of Titans turned back the clock and his young challengers in winning the men’s 100m at the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) National Championships at the National Stadium on Friday.

Blake clocked 9.85 (1.0 mps) to be crowned national champion once again.

Oblique Seville of Racers was second in 9.88 and Ackeem Blake of Titans was third in a personal best of 9.93. Jelani Walker of Adidas grabbed fourth with 10.00, also a personal best. Titans’ third runner, Kemar Bailey-Cole was fifth in 10.10.

Meanwhile, MVP’s Shericka Jackson confirmed whispers of her fine form in training when she sped to an impressive 10.77 in crowning herself national 100m champion, but later said she was disappointed with the time. It was just outside her personal best of 10.76. It was rumoured that Jackson was running 10.6 in training.

Kemba Nelson of the University of Oregon stole second in a personal best 10.88 with double Olympic champion Elaine Thompson-Herah back in third with 10.89.

Briana Williams also ran her personal best of 10.94 for fourth.

Elaine looked good in the Semis…I think the technical debacle at the start threw her off..the athletes were waiting for a good 15 minutes with at least 4 attempts to start…at that time she was worried about getting cold and picking up an injury…

Brianna ran well but her lack of top end speed is still a concern …she left everyone in the blocks and led for the 1st 60 meters but they ran past her in the end…10.94 PB was a good run but when Tina Clayton is running 10.96 then you know that Brianna is not improving as fast as she needs to to have a shot in the big tournaments…the Americans are running 10.70s and 10.80s…..

Been busy and tired and have not been aware of the happenings. Thanks for info and all..I would not be
too concerned with Elaine's run either but Shericka is being prepped for bigger things.
The surprise to me is that Blake won the 100.Did not know he still had it in him at this stage.
I am more concerned with Brianna as you all noted. She has to make better progress as quite a few
are nipping at her heels.
Hope the 400m runners make strides tho. Times in the 44s are needed.
