"INDIA AT 75" READ THIS WHLE IGNORING MODI AS PM

As you read this, ignore for a moment that the current rulers of India- religious-political and corporate are tyrants. Go back to when the leaders of India were trying to build and develop a truly plural democracy despite the monumental challenges. Link Text

A Brit talking about a would have been united India? Nonsense..he mentioned nothing of note in terms of the progress in 75 years.

The Brits were part of the divide and rule - everywhere they went and still go

Thank the lord for division....no way India would have managed with that land mass of medieval throat cutting culture

He is a Brit, but his narrative on history is not aligned to the typical British paradigm.

What he wrote make sense, and we all say that: Imagine no partition- not having to spend on weapons of mass destruction- neutralizing China- by sheer size and borders, and no one group being so small as to be persecuted.

What if Jinnah was not such a dummy, what if Karanchand had given Jinnah the PM for one just one year to demonstrate unity.

What if?
