Sinner served fi di match in the 4th set and blew it. Carlos made him pay.
The problem for Carlos is that his match took nearly six hours while Frances Tiafoe finished off Rublev in three sets.
Yes he's 19, but recovery for Friday won't be easy

Carlos Alcaraz has a fan in me.

That yute is incredible.

Epic match last night. Not a Sinner fan but damn!!!!!! He played exceptionally.

In addition to his obvious athletic ability, amazing tennis skills, and highly functioning tennis brain, Carlos’ mental game is so strong for someone so young.

That was the difference in last night’s game.

Not that Sinner was weak or that Carlos didnt have mental breakdowns during the match……but when it came to real crunch time, Carlos’ mental game proved to be superior.

Sinner will be a constant thorn in Carlos's side.

You have short memory syndrome. What Sinner dis to Carlos most recently, prior to last night?

imusic 2022-09-08 13:48:05

In reply to FuzzyWuzzy

What did I say that discounted that?

Did Carlos thorn not hook dinner harder last night in a Grand Slam quarter final?

Jeezas…..you just looking for argument

I am simply reinforcing my argument that Sinner will be to Carlos as Roger, Rafa and Novak were to each other

Yuh leff out Tiafoe. Sinner is the best of the Italians.
I don't think Zverev will remain a factor and not just because of that serious injury. He has had diabetes since childhood.

Not convinced with Tiafoe. Yet

But he could sneak into the next tier.

He’s certainly done well here and recently.

Looks like you will be invoking the 'fence' on this one Prof .... smile

He has certainly improved this year - that Saffie coach is clearly working overtime.

Carlos is the most talented of this group, but recovery will be a factor.

On the womens, Garcia arguably playing here best tennis of anyone the past few months.

But she has to be way more consistent.

The only real consistent ones on your are Iga, ONs, and Pegula.

Badosa was there too, but she’s dropped off recently.

The rest is just whoever hot on the day.

Case im point, Rybakina
