Putting aside the requirement for having coached a local club/parish association team, would Darren Sammy qualify under this criteria?
In reply to imusic
No - sorry Dukester
In reply to Dukes
The number of applicants meeting that requirement should be few; not even sure GC Foster College graduates have the requisite skills set for the job!
The position should be open to at least Caribbean folks, especially since it's a cross-cultural affair!
Interpersonal skills missing from the job specification

In other words, he cannot even qualify for an assistant coach position, far less a head coach
Thanks

Lemme explain something you might not be aware of.There are usually 2 Assistant coaches. They are more concerned with the technical aspects of the game. The Head Coach is more about the overall strategy.Think about that my friend.

Sammy still would not qualify to be head coach based on the criteria that YOU SAID is a well thought out and wonderful set of skills that a coach should have

Why is Reifer a former WI head coach deputy to Sammy in Kings set up?
In reply to Dukes
I hope you are not suggesting the head coach should not be qualified

Do you understand the difference between the Chief Operating Officer (COO)and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Similarly the difference between the President and the CEO
or the President and the Prime Minister in most countries or in the case of the United Kingdom the KING and the Prime Minister
At some point what the Head Coach and the Assistant Head Coaches do will be made clear to you.Hopefully sooner rather than later.
