In reply to nitro Dude u realize MOST of the British born ballas show up ONLY when is WC time and are SURE England won't come calling. I REPEAT Hall, Burton, Simpson, Earle came of their OWN volition. We should NOT accept ANYONE who sees Jamaica as backup. If interested go look about your papers and COMMITT BEFORE WC qualifying time. If you CANNOT DO THAT STAY THE HELL AWAY. It's not as if their presence has qualified us for a World Cup. Committed ballas ONLY whether they were born here or not.

USA basically does the same thing, with rapid citizenship ceremonies before WC for any potential footballers whom they deemed could help their football aka soccer squad, I remember one French African guy was drafted so quickly it made a mockery of the hundreds waiting in line for US citizenship.

Of the 35 member squad called up for the last world cup 15 were UK born. From the list below you would have seen that only 4 players did not play for Jamaica before the WCQ. These were Antonio and Roofe who had long, hectic seasons due to the covid19 outbreak. Countries were asked to rest their top players in the off season. That is why the USA team at the Gold Cup was basically their B team. Players cannot turn up without being called hence the other players Grant and Stewart came that late and even then Stewart was out injured at the start. Most of the players were playing friendlies and the Gold Cup AFTER JFF called them.

Sure, after Simoes and team went scouting in the UK after they realize they needed more professionals on the team. Were any of them likely to be called by England?

Raheem Sterling chose England, he was born here. If we were to go by your rule Leon Bailey, who hesitated to commit to the JFF, would not be welcome in this team. I cannot blame players wo hesitate to commit when they can play for a country that is organized and treat their players well.
You expect people to commit to this JFF that is so poorly managed? Jamaica has a big problem with poor leadership, starting with the government. Let me ask you the thousands of teachers, nurses and police officers leaving Jamaica to work overseas are showing lack of commitment to Jamaica? They are far, far more important than a football player!

Fix the leadership at all levels in the country before people can take us seriously.

English league one top striker for years, Jonson Clarke-Harris, tried for 6 years to get a callup. Paul Hall finally gave him a try out in May 2022. Manchester United youngster, Di’shon Bernard, Tyrick Mitchell, who plays left-back for Crystal Palace, Rico Henry, Brentford’s left-back, and Omar Richard, Bayern Munich’s wing back, all declared that they wanted to play for Jamaica. Not a call. Mitchell has since been called by England and Henry is expected to be included in their squad this month.

Our top LOCAL born striker, Shamar Nicholson, turned down the JFF call for three critical games vs Mexico, Panama and Costa Rica. Should he

STAY THE HELL AWAY
or this commitment thing only applies to UK born players?

Yes. Again we know the JFF and its issues
However my point remains. Most have no interest in Yard and yes local born English born if u not committed. Good-bye.

Players have a right to weight their options and choose which pathway is best for their respective careers or potential earnings.
