Putin Scrambles to Marshal Russian Forces as Ukraine Army Reaches Border

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters Monday that the Russian leader is in constant contact with top officials within the military and the defense department.

"The President is in constant, one might say round-the-clock, communication with the minister of defense and with all the military leaders," Peskov said. He was responding to a question from reporters about how Putin has reacted to news that Russian commanders are withdrawing and regrouping troops from the Kharkiv region amid a Ukrainian counteroffensive.

"And of course it cannot be otherwise in the course of the special military operation," Peskov said.

Peskov appeared to be referring to remarks by Vitaly Ganchev, a Russia-installed head of the military-civilian administration of the Kharkiv region, who told the Rossiya 24 TV channel Monday that Russian troops are severely outnumbered. Ganchev said Russian troops in the Kharkiv region were pulled out to preserve personnel, as Ukraine's armed forces outnumber them "by about eight times, no less."

Russian Commander Says He's 'Depressed' by How War Is Turning Out

Alexander Khodakovsky, a Kremlin-backed commander and former political leader in the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) in eastern Ukraine, has given a rare bleak assessment of Russia's performance in the ongoing war.His remarks came as the head of the Kharkiv region, Oleg Sinegubov, said that the Ukrainian military had liberated more than 40 settlements in the region that was seized by Russia in the early days of the war."I want to blame myself for the inconsistency: on the one hand, I am depressed by the results of this stage of the war (I knew we would stop, but that we would retreat, I couldn't even dream about it), on the other - I am against universal mobilization. How to turn the course of events then?" Khodakovsky wrote on his Telegram channel on Monday.

The update, posted on its Facebook page, said that the Ukrainian military destroyed almost 85 percent of Russia's 810 marine infantry brigade, which is based in the city of Sevastopol in the Russian-occupied Crimean Peninsula."After the successful actions carried out by the Defense Forces in the Kherson direction, the enemy suffered significant losses in manpower.""Fear of failure is one of the biggest drivers for the Russians in this war," Zagorodnyuk said. "They were certain of their superiority over Ukraine, they were so certain that they were going to win, that any mistake they make is much harder for them than it would be for us or for any other nation.""That's why they don't call this a war," he said. "Because if this was a war and they don't win it, they'll look stupid. They cannot call mass mobilization, they cannot do lots of other things. For us, it's a total war...they are still trying to show it as some kind of regional operation. And that gives us an advantage."

"The generals are afraid to make mistakes, because as soon as the general makes a mistake he is blamed for that," Zagorodnyuk continued. "They stigmatize mistakes."

The Russian "Vostok" battalion commander suggested that announcing war mobilization—which would allow Putin under Russian law to draft conscripts and mobilize reserve forces—would not solve fundamental issues that exist within the Russian army."If this approach is maintained, the shortage will be constant, no matter how many people you mobilize, and Russia will be overwhelmed by a wave of funeral notices in the absence of the desired result, which will lead to a serious crisis," the commander warned

And Putin's critics continue to suffer mysterious/questionable departures.

Energy executive falls from boat in latest mysterious Russian death

Russian energy executive Ivan Pechorin, 39, was pronounced dead on Saturday after falling overboard while sailing off the coast of Russky Island in the Sea of Japan, Russian media reported.

The Managing Director of the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (ERDC), Pechorin had attended the Eastern Economic Forum – which was hosted by President Vladimir Putin in Vladivostok – just days earlier. His body was recovered from the water on Monday following an extended search.

Ukrainian reports say Putin’s troops are fleeing east to the Russian border in whatever transport they can find, even taking cars from the civilian population in the areas they had captured since the start of the war in February

And yet another...

Another Putin Ally Dead After ‘Suffocating’ on Business Trip

Another top ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin has died this week, this time of an alleged “stroke” while on a business trip in the village of Roshchino in Russia’s far east region.

Vladimir Nikolayevich Sungorkin, 68, was editor-in-chief of the Russian state newspaper, Komsomolskaya Pravda. According to the newspaper, Sungorkin died “suddenly” after showing signs of “suffocation” during the trip on Wednesday.

Sarge unwittingly admitted to being the once omnipresent Alien some years back.

It all came out from his (their) close association with the Niagara area agri-business community that employ Caribbean area migrants for annual seasonal work.

That is not discussed on threads. Gossip is difficult to stop.

So, I view such as "whatever rows one boat goes with it".

I am surprised that you would get involved with such..but...

You fellas can laugh all you want. After retreating the Russians blew up the dam and flooded the river and destroyed the pontoon bridges. Ukrainian forces are now trapped on the wrong side. No resupplies and no retreat. They can die or surrender in the cauldron. Now the world knows why the Russians withdrew their forces.

Is it the same as the stories the western media was peddling about how Putin has cancer and is dying ? Or this time it’s for real? Lol You fellas love drinking that mainstream media coolaid lol

carl0002 2022-09-15 16:27:33

Russia resorting to all kinds of vile tactics against civilian targets to cover their losses and people celebrating that as legitimate military strategy is even more despicable.
