T20 WI squad announced

Evin Lewis returned as West Indies named their squad of 15 players for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022. The squad also has two uncapped players in Yannic Cariah and Raymon Reifer.

“We have selected a mixture of youth and experience to represent the West Indies," said CWI Lead Selector Desmond Haynes. "In the selection process, we have been cognizant of the ongoing CPL and we have been looking at the players who have been playing very well.

"I said at the beginning of my tenure that I would be interested in giving players the opportunity and I think I have been consistent in doing that. I believe it is a very good team we have selected, and it is a team that will compete, given that we have to qualify from Round 1 into the Super12s.”

The only player I did not have in this squad is Lewis.
I got the other 14. Plus a favourite of mind, Rutherford instead of Lewis.
But I can't fault the selectors on Lewis .He is quality and has served well. Not sure about his
fitness,physically.
Did not consider Allen and Russell..don't believe they are intuned with what's needed at this time. One's time is past and the other needs to
get past recent problems and return stronger, mentally.
Very impressed with Cariah and he is a cut above Walsh as a bowler and batter.
I wish the squad well although I don't see them getting into a last four.
Given recent happenings, Bangladesh could win it all

lol

I think he'd be a liability to the team... The squad has a nice mixture; some senior players and young guns...

Average pool

The addition of players being debated in the past 24 hours does not improve the side significantly

It’s a good squad considering what’s available. I’m concerned about Charles’ technique or lack thereof, but I guess he’s being rewarded for the runs he’s scored and his World Cup experience(he’s played a part in two World Cup triumphs). As I always thought, Dessie Haynes was a rational, experienced, extremely intelligent player and he has brought that into his selecting role. If the team really puts it’s A game on at all times, they could make it far……winning might be a stretch but they would certainly compete
