This Barbados Royals iteration seems to be able to chase down a total but also able to restrict teams.
With overseas players being so hit or miss I certainly did not see this coming.
Maybe they will choke in the finals like the unbeaten 2019 Amazon Warriors.

Most impressive CPL team I can remember

Imagine IF they meet the Anazinians in that final!
In reply to nick2020
team hasn't even won the title and yuh lording them.....pitiful
In reply to nick2020
I remember that, but don't forget that TKR went unbeaten the last year they won the tournament. So it is very possible for the Royals to go on to win the CPL undefeated. I expect them to lose a game or two on their way to winning the trophy .
In reply to Windiesfan78
They will not win another.
In reply to Jumpstart
Means they are not impressive?
Equally so haven't we seen a year - Barbados Tridents - where a team won the title (by teifing out de muddies) and were quite underwhelming?
They will be losing two key players after this round ...
In reply to natty_forever
Another title okay but certainly you cannot mean another match
In reply to Kay
Did not know that. Who they losing? Cornwall?
In reply to nick2020
Miller and DeKock
In reply to nick2020
only won because nobody had figured out talentless H Walsh as yet. Most WI batsmen freeze at the sight of even a mediocre spinner
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Miller is replaceable. Now if you said Cornwall...
In reply to Jumpstart
I guess.
The pelters are much harder to figure out.
In reply to nick2020
I think i overheard the commies saying that Miller and de Kock will leave for home duties after this T&T leg ..
In reply to nick2020
Yes, I meant another match. Testing myprediction skills.
In reply to Kay
Miller taking de Kock with him???
In reply to nick2020
plzzz....de pelters could have been medium pacers who don't move the ball an inch and still be more effective than hayden after his first 4 months of mystery
Royals will lift the trophy at the end of the tournament. The trophy will look nice in the cabinet next to the 6ixty .
In reply to Jumpstart
We agree.
Pelters are very hard to figure out.
In reply to nick2020
i would rather pelt than rely on handouts at the end of my cricket career homie
In reply to nick2020
You are not talking about Tallawahs Chris Green I spose.
In reply to nick2020
Hmmm doubt that!
Miller's captaincy will be missed so too his effortless six hitting and catching/fielding
De Kock's batting and wicketkeeping will be missed.
Their absence in Guyana could halt Royals run for the title
Any word on their replacements?
In reply to nick2020
With reference to your memory,I would strongly suggest you do not depend on it too much. As recently as 2019, the Guyana Amazon Warriors won all 11 games prior to the Final against guess who- BARBADOS and lost that final game.
As they say in Guyana-Do not count egg in Fowl Batty!!!!!

Any other examples Dukesie?
Im sure you could come up with something thats DATA DRIVEN!
In reply to Dukes
I am confused Dukes. Did you read my opening post?
And my subsequent post?
I remember. What I also remember of that team is they could score runs but the bowling in my mind was not a good as these Royals. But I do accept this is from memory; I have not looked at the numbers. I could.
In reply to imusic
You and Dukesie?
Man all the heavy hitters in here.
This is not the end all be all but here is NRR of the unbeatens:
2020 - TKR 1.294
2019 - GAW 1.724
BR now stand at 1.881.
Again NRR is not the end all be all to dominance as it can be heavily influence by if you are chasing or defending, or if D/L came into play.

The fact that you go on to state that the unbeaten Warriors team either implies that despite the fact that they were unbeaten prior to the Finals they were not as impressive as this current team OPR by the time you wrote about them you had forgotten the headline you wrote.
You are the only person who can clear that up.
It does seem a bit surprising that a team with an unbeaten streak of 6 games is more impressive than one with 11 games but in life all things are possible.
In reply to imusic
I think that it is more understandable to forget something from 3 years ago rather than 2 years ago and to forget one instance rather than 2.That might seem to be piling on so I omitted that. Now if someone forgets something from 2 years ago it is very likely that he would also forget something from 3 years ago.
IRREGARDLESS the whole tread/thread seems pointless so there will be no further participation from me in pointless back and forth.

Classical Bridesmaid...and I believe it was our 'own bred' Raymon Reifer who delivered the bridesmaid blow

In my mind no the unbeaten Warriors were not as impressive.
This aged well

Innovative. Thats like a pretzel inside a pretzel

Lickle but me Tallawahs putting D bimsters in dem place.

I am so happy Barbados is losing today
Take away the two South Africans and Barbados is back to their usual bottom of the table scrap
Dukesy,
Step 1 - Collect enough data
Step 2 - Process the data correctly
If the Royal survive VOR and get into the finals they would be a 1 loss team who played without 2 of the best players.
Certainly making a case. Your thoughts?
