Not that it matters but I liked Odean Smith .. I really thought that he would develop into a good T 20 player..
Sadly he is not gonna do it...
His bowling is off .. hardly tops 140 and his batting is pathetic ( for want of a better word)..
Well he only have himself to blame as his stock / worth has drastically dropped ..

Odean Smith played all 3 matches in the T 20 series against New Zealand recently his most recent 3 T 20 Internationals.
In those 3 matches he bowled 4 overs at the death(defined as overs 17-20)
He took 3 wickets- and conceded 28 runs in those 4 overs.The 3 wickets were Kane Williamson, Glen Phillips and Jimmy Neesham.
The problem I have with you guys is you operate in a fact free zone and bloviate a tremendous amount of BULLCRAP with absolutely no reference to objective evidence.You are not alone so do not feel I am targeting you.Jumpy went in feet first into this bashing of Odean.He is 25 years old and learning his trade.
We have a great class of 2016 with Hetty,AlJo,the real McCoy, Odean, Carty and Keemo.

You want to ignore how a man performed in T 20 Internationals and determine his fate based on a lower standard of cricket.

The IPL is the motherlode of riches to T 20 cricketers...and hundreds want to be there...
Odean is not shaping up too good for this ..maybe he thinks he is a shoo in..it defies logic that Odean would not try to impress with match winning performances..
Anyway let’s see how it all plays out .

Maybe the teams he play for need to stop sending him in to bat like he is in a hurry. Take the last match for example. Match slipping away from GAW and they held Smith back until the required rate was almost 30 runs an over and only 17 balls left in the inning. How else is he to bat in such a situation?
