Barbados Royals vs Guyana Amazon Warriors,
Guyana are last on the table and need some miracle from here on to think of a place in the knockouts.
In reply to shivnotout
actually, they have 2 games in hand...so 2 wins a row and they are equal with the middle-tablers ..
well only 2 wins in a row lol
There is a drizzle on. There were heavy showers yesterday and in the morning as well. So, the toss has been delayed.
In reply to shivnotout
Maybe the match being rained out might be better. At least you will be guaranteed a point .
09:49 Local Time, 13:49 GMT, 19:19 IST: The covers are going off as the rain seems to have stopped.
A few of the players are warming up now. We can make up for atleast one hour of play. The crowd is in. It is getting drier. The sun now seems to be out as well. That's good news. Both the teams are doing their warm-ups now. We should have a word soon as to when the toss will happen. There is a little update that the match is supposed to start at 10:45 local. That is around 30 minutes away. So, we should have the toss soon.
In reply to doosra
Time for the toss now and then the match should begin in 15 minutes time.

Tahir to Cornwall, no run, that's some drama! The batter was almost near the ropes when he decided to turn back. He thought he had edged it and reviewed it. And once he saw there was no edge, he started walking. But then the ball tracker showed it was missing as the googly was turning a little too much

C Hemraj to de Kock, no run

C Hemraj to de Kock, out Caught by Odean Smith!! QDK falls again. The batter slogs it across the line and finds the man at long-on. That wasn't timed well. Dropped short, the batter thwacks it across the line and the man at long-on takes it. Barbados are in trouble.

This is the second time he did this garbage. Spin is a serious problem in these parts I find.
Stop with the spinners now !

31 balls since the last boundary!!!!

Junior Sinclair to Mayers, out Caught by Shepherd!! Tossed up delivery, Mayers looks to slog it across the line and the man at long-off takes it. The batter wanted to clear the fence but just couldn't get enough elevation. The fielder takes it easily. Barbados continue to falter
Mayers c Shepherd b Junior Sinclair 9(20) [4s-1]
BR 38/4 (9.3) CRR: 4
Wait, Junior Sinclair can backflip too!!!
In reply to Windiesfan78
better too and he is also a better off spin talent than Kevin
In reply to Windiesfan78
They are cousins.. So yes all of them could backflip..
This one will turn out to be the better Sinclair.. Is about 6 of them and most represented Guyana at the U15, U17, U19
or senior level.
In reply to doosra
His brother was a far better wk than Bramble.. Like Kevin he ain't too righted upstairs though.. Man used to bat everybody without helmet and thing
Narps, who is the better spinner between Kevin and Junior?

C Hemraj to Holder, leg byes, 2 runs, off the pads towards fine leg as they take a couple of leg byes
10.2
C Hemraj to Holder, FOUR, rocks back in the crease and pulls this through mid-wicket for four runs
In reply to doosra
You answered my question, players can't get him away at all.
In reply to anthonyp
which brother was the keeper?
11.6
Shamsi to Azam Khan, FOUR, goes down on his knee early and reverse sweep this past the fielder at short third man as it's a boundary. That's four runs to end the over

C Hemraj to Holder, SIX, to long-on
So wait, if our batsmen cyah hit sixes, dey cyah score runs?
12.6
C Hemraj to Azam Khan, out Caught by Shepherd!! Another one bites the dust! A tossed up delivery on off, slightly short in leg, Azam Khan looks to whack it across the line, ends up getting a top edge that flies straight to the fielder at short third man and the batsman is gone! Barbados in trouble with half their side gone!

CYANNOT rotate strike
It has started to drizzle and the umpires have called on for the covers. Doesn't look that threatening, looks like a passing shower, so we'll be back soon. We'll be back as soon as run subsides..
David Miller, left handed bat, comes to the crease
Rain stops play
In reply to Halliwell
Looks like the Saffers couldn't either.
Rain!
I'll take the no result afterall. This spin got my head spinning.
In reply to doosra
Jason Sinclair was the wicket keeper... The local Marlon Samuels, from batting stance to attitude

Why are the other commentators allowing Alex Jordan to keep repeating that Junior Sinclair is making his debut here. She said it 3 times!!!!

Too much for Guyana?
In reply to mikesiva
Could be
If they lose this they have no right being in the final 4
In reply to mikesiva
"Too much for Guyana?"
Rem D&L so the score should go higher. Too much I say.
In reply to doosra
"Spinning and kemo bowling ?"
Bcs it was reduce to 16 overs, he couldn't bowl more spin.
39 in the last two overs gwine kill dem ...
In reply to tops
But he bowled Tahir at the end
In reply to Kay
111 is the final score they have to get in 16.
In reply to doosra
Yes, bcs at the time he had only bowled 2 overs.
In reply to tops
Get someone else
The wicket is turning
Kemo.and his indicipline self...2 no balls etc
In reply to doosra
This batting order is madness!
Hetmyer should be opening the batting.
Your best batsmen should be in the top three.
Hemraj out for a laboured four.
Stirling out now. Hetmyer finally comes to the crease.
Pinch hitter Paul out for six.
Hetmyer out to Cornwall for 12. So much for that.
In reply to mikesiva
All those who couldnt get tickets for the semi finals and final, dont worry. Tickets will be available soon
In reply to mikesiva
Kemo looks an average cricketer, like many before him, promising in the early days, regressed terribly in time. Scored 6 today off of 9, while hitting a 6, had seven dot balls coming in as a pinch hitter.
In reply to Madmax
Meanwhile, tickets for the semi-final game each cost US$225 or GY$45,000 and tickets for the final game cost US$275 or GY$55,000. Its just having clean fun and you get to watch the best part of the game, he remarked.
Miller is being replaced with Harry Tector. The owners aren't replacing QDK, what madness is that!!!
That's what the Tits suffer from, OCD!
better they don't play the home leg
Excellent yorker from Simmonds!
Got 'im, don't be giving talk to the Real McCoy!!!!
Narps, shivnotout, Dukes, 31 needed off 1 ball. Stop hiding and watch a champion team .
In reply to Windiesfan78
this is a joke team that could hardly convince anyone they are top 4
on this pitch they conceded 39 off the last 2 overs
In reply to doosra
Reon Grifitt is the coach of GAW?
Royals won by 29 runs (D/L method)
In reply to Madmax
yea ...
In reply to doosra
I missed the last part of the Royals innings. That is carnage!!! Last season, the Royals team was pathetic. Time to right the wrongs of last season. To the playoffs we go! First side to qualify.
In reply to Windiesfan78
they did well to qualify before Providence
i think it is still open given the rank turners expected here
In reply to doosra
Not imposible, home support certainly helped TKR. I like the GAW and the franchise should have won the CPL by now. Next year, the owners need to get in stronger overseas players. Shamsi and Tahir are world class but you are lacking in the batting department.
In reply to Windiesfan78
I was at the cottage by the lake for the week-end.
I didn't follow the game after my last post on this thread
I am now back home.
But I expected Warriors to lose...out two spin killers Shamshi and Tahir are not cutting it....Warriors batting is non-existent
In reply to doosra
on this pitch they conceded 39 off the last 2 overs
Odean Smith lucky he never got a bowl, else he would've been blamed for letting the Royals back into the game.
In reply to Drapsey
nah he playing as a specialist batter
In reply to Narper
This is what I was telling doosra, the batting is the problem.
In reply to doosra
You guys keep forgetting that several matches will be rained out.
In reply to Dukes
last week or so just in between showers...should be fine
