Now, I am quite pleased that Dr. Desmond Haynes observed this improvement
in his batting technique. Of all the opening batsmen chosen he appears to
be the one best equipped to score fast against SPIN.

OOPS
LOL

That's a good line up there. I think Agent Smith would have to make way for Joseph in the final XI. However, Smith makes the squad.

Practice Star
You'd better hope that injury isn't serious
In reply to Dukes
Put Alizari Joseph in, instead of
Odean Smith.
In reply to Windiesfan78
Exactly.
Also Y Carriah is a proper Batsman
he could bat as high as #7.
In reply to Yadi
His stated role is that of reserve wicketkeeper. Knowing this team management, and how rigid they are in their approach, Ill be surprised if he starts at least in the first few games
In reply to Yadi
Yup, he also is a handy spinner. It really increases our batting depth

Evin Lewis has work to do in Guyana.
In reply to Yadi
He has to score significantly in 2 innings in Guyana in order to start in the WC.
In reply to DukesYou would like him to score in 2 innings to start but the truth is he will likely start over Johnson Charles, REGARDLESS of what happens in the Guyana leg
There is room for Mayers in the middle order if Charles and Lewis open. On form, Mayers is in front of all the other potential middle order batsmen in Pooran, Hety, King, Reifer and Powell. i would like to see him bowl more to see if we can entrust 4 overs to him to allow us to lengthen the batting.
In reply to armchair
You are probably right about Lewis not needing to perform to play in the WC.That is how WI cricket operates.
