Idi Admin was not bad guy, he was a villain by circumstance

The Ugandan situation was just more of the infernal monarchy's machinations in other countries, then vilified leaders when they pushed back against colonial policies. The unfortunate pawns n the game, the Asians who were kicked out of Uganda were not even wanted by the English initially, but had to be shamed into letting them in. Let Colonialism and the commonwealth die and be buried with it's mother the Queen!!!

..many of the horror stories that we have heard about past and present African leaders should be treated with extreme disdain!! remember how we have been taught to view cowboys vs Indians..I can never look at those movies how I used to as a child ever again!!

was Muammar Gaddafi really the evil man he was made out to be? We have to always ask ourselves who is telling the story..

Yep - his problem is that he was part of their camp in the beginning/ Additionally the barbaric Brits played the imported Asians against the local Africans big time.

Bullshit! Pure revisionist crap going on here.

I suggest you fackers go read about the genocidal program he unleashed on some Ugandan ethnic groups, the attack on Tanzania in 1978 and the part Julius Nyerere played in deposing the tyrant that was Idi Amin.

Ayenmol 2022-09-19 19:32:24

As usual. Lets find reason to excuse our own no matter their dastardly acts....because see the dastardly acts of their own.

Not unlike the reasoning of Trump followers....hey all Politicians are bad, he would not have to ne so bad if not for their badness!

Ugh.We want to excuse ours while calling shame on theirs.
They are all bad. All! Some bad ones were stronger than others and survived it all!
End of story.
Our ancestors were not now or ever united and that was their downfall.

It is what it is....Funny thing is the person who love to cast aspersions subscibes to the survival of the fittest theory.

What a ting.

In reply to Larr Pulloa villain of circumstance ?idin amin was a monster a manufactured one but still one britain used him like a tool like every african president at that time to exploit africa resources and protect their interests but they soon realized the man was uncontrollable and too unstable.

Anyone who without good cause overthrows his govt. is Evil. Amin had a lot of lies and exaggerations thrown his way but that does not distract from him being a terrible Dictator. (I abhor dictators). He did not aim his wickedness at ethnicities but all and sundry. I make his ethnic members with whom I interact uncomfortable when I insist he was an evil dictator. But now, Museveni having won the war to oust Obote is himself a dictator who rapes the country and install his 'Tutsi' ethnic group in all govt positions but but because the US from Reagan all down see him as 'a stabilizing force' in East Africa you don't hear a peep from the West. Museveni is the one who called home Kigame to 'rule' Rwanda. Kigame was trained in The Ugandan Army.
Museveni detained Opposition Leader the Artiste Bobby Wine during elections. He filed a suit and one Supreme Court Justice dared to write a dissent to his case being thrown out on the basis that he could not properly prepare because he was in detention. The Chief Justice suspended her without pay or benefits. The Int'l Commission of Justice as well as the East African Court of Justice had to intervene.
Quaddafi on the other hand overthrew a despot, he was deposed by Obama and the rest of Nato on THE STUPID ASSUMPTION by Susan Rice (of Yardie descent) that the uprising would result in a Rwanda type massacre.

Maaaaan...for real. Its amazing how as a young impressionable child...I always backed the cowboy against the Indians in those movies. The memory saddens me honestly.

Yes and the Indian Asian treated the Ugandan people with scorn and disdain. They got preferential treatment via the British, and the took advantage of the people. They continued their dirty practices- such as upholding the caste system, and other cultural and religious practices were imported. They refused to assimilate into Ugandan society and culture.

It was a proud day for all of African and Uganda when he asked all interlopers who disliked his people and culture to leave.

Ayenmol 2022-09-20 03:24:37

Aye aye....assimilation into African culture is ok and a requirement for Emir.

Wow. I tell you boy. Do you all even attempt to be consistent? Or realize how hypocritic you are?
