Putting in Narine as a pinch hitter with a dude who only plays CPL cricket in Webster. putting pooran, a clear middle order player in the pinch hitting role when narine fails. De man decisions getting more hair-brained as the tournament goes on.

pollard's captaincy is excellent....its aggressive and proactive. His batting has fallen away this season, but so have the other TKR top order stalwarts in Seifert and Munro. And they have not been helped by the instability at the top. Webster only plays CPL and i cant see him being the opener if Jangoo or Deyal were playing for us. We made errors from the draft until now

The WI is a team that has been losing regularly for years so obviously their problems run deeper than the head coach. Hope was averaging below 30 in tests before simmons and Kraigg was averaging below 35 before he came along as well.

TKR is a side that has never looked as bad as it has this season. Four CPLs in 7 years and the legacy of the TT Red Force prior to the CPL. Its a winning team. The only change has been Nayar ,the retirements of Simmons and Ramdin and Ali Khan's injury which i admit have changed the team dynamic in a way that can't be ignored. But Nayar is clueless. And its only going to get more difficult because the Guyana crowd has usually been hostile to the team. They'll be playing against both the opposing team and the crowd

mysore is the owner......look at the ipl draft this year....the owners are all surrounded by the coaching staff.......mysore is a businessman, nayar is supposed to be the cricketing brain as he apparently played 3 odis for india. Which is why lara, moody, steyn and murali were at the ipl auction. They are the technical staff

You know many muddies condemned the selection of Chandrika for tests...many condemned Roger Harper for the selections/non selections in WI squads

I remember saying that chandrika was a political pick meant to ease the inferences of a nationalistic element in his selection(i.e that he was only picked to ease Guyanese feelings about Tiger being rightfully dropped with the added contreversy that he was very close to Brian Lara's aggregate WI run record). I remember men coming and saying chandrika wasn't that bad when it was clear he wasn't even up to FC level. They doh even like to admit that carl hooper,as the most gifted batsman in 120 years of test cricket, was an astounding failure as a batsman, the job he was picked for. Just weeks ago, Someone came on this thread calling a him an allrounder and that somehow his bowling responsibilities significantly contributed to that 36 average.

That is the leader in Polly- he cares about WI cricket first and foremost. His call is the right one and to be certain, the great man has been making that call for a while now.

I want to see Polly continue- he was badly let down by the management of TKR and some of his seniors like Pooran did not show up.

But that is cricket and the important thing at the moment is we have some players to replace Russell, Polly, Bravo and they are doing well in this CPL. Our problem is the specialist batters in Pooran and Hety, they are not performing to expectation and without contribution and solidity from these two, we will not reach far in the WC.

Which is surprising because WI cricket has kicked him so many times. Is like de Caricom and Caribbean unity. Trinidad seems to be the most enthusiastic and committed to the cause(No I make no apologies for that)
