CWI has again jumped the gun in selecting a world cup team before their major tournament is over.
Pooran needs a rest.
He is not captain material as yet.
Rovman looks the part for Jamaica and should be given the nod. Hettie should be the vice.
Based on form Hope should be opener or no3.
Most of the guys picked is way out of form.
That bodes ill for out team.
I do not see them coming out of the first round if the ones picked continue to shyte down the place as they are currently doing.
No local spinner is doing the job except Narine and he refuses to play for CWI.

Aside from the captain there was one person picked without form. That is, Evin Lewis.

He wouldn't have been in my squad based on form and other issues.

The captain is the captain. No qualms despite his poor form.


I'll say further that Cariah over Hayden Walsh I have absolutely no problem with that.

Walsh has been inconsistent and I've been very impressed with Cariah apart from his no T20 experience. Let's see how it goes for him

Charles should open with Mayers if he has overcome his injury. King takes the no. 3 slot. Hope should definitely be in the squad of 15, based on recent form. I was not convinced of his talent in t20 but he has shown that he has the ability to step it up if necessary. It is still early days but he has looked good in the last two matches he has played.

It's always nice to hope but we are not winning shyte in that WC,you can drop,replace players and captain that won't help,if England don't win,you have NZ,Australia and Pakistan to deal with and we cyah beat none ah dem.

In reply to InHindsight Are you serious? Walsh has been poorly treated and has lost confidence. Even his fielding has taken a step back. Having said that, he has shown way more then Cariah and deserve to be selected.

I am okay with that if the others are picked on merit and deserve a place over not only TT players but anyone not up to the grind of a world tournament.

You are right, Pooran needs a break from the game, to do some self introspection, he looks very jaded and out of it

I have faith in the captain's ability to hit the cricket ball effectively more times than not. Form his temporary the former is permanent. He could find form just at the right time.
