This match isn't being covered live on cricinfo.com. That's disgraceful!!!
In reply to Windiesfan78
The WI marketing team has to ensure that all WI matches are streamed so cricinfo can lift the commentary.

CWI really should do better. Is it any wonder why Dottin has retired from international cricket. Clearly more must be done for the women's game.
In reply to Windiesfan78
There are enough underutilized camera operators in the Caribbean for CWI to have its own production company. YouTube channel with ads could help defray costs over time. All CWI competitions could be streamed on this channel. There is a high penetration of smartphones all over the Caribbean. The diaspora is always interested in WI cricket. This thing could pay for itself over a relatively reasonable amount of time.
And, you are correct. Women's cricket is the growth area. CWI could do worse than giving it some priority.

Totally agree, any updates?

Stupse, these ladies need to get their act together!!!!!
Meelie Kerr has bowled out 10-1-24-0, bu big sis Jess is wreaking havoc.
Jess Kerr 7.2-0-18-3

The batting order is wrong. If Natasha McLean actually kept wicket - as much as I like her - she is probably not fit enough to open after keeping so many overs.
In reply to Fantom
It is less than 3 runs an over, with wickets in hand this should be easy after the repair job. Matthews, Taylor and Henry are the only ladies that can bat.
Stephanie Taylor must have retired hurt because I still see her not out.
In reply to Windiesfan78a
It is not clear since there is no commentary. It appears that Stafanie may have retired on 51*(89).

Great to meet you, cricketer!
In reply to Fantom
Shows the sad state the women's game is in.
In reply to Fantom
Likewise , 22 more runs to stop the whitewash.
Henry out probably playing one too many shots. 148/6, 21 more runs to win.
Henry, Alleyne and the Knight sisters should be made to focus on developing their batting. That is our weak spot. Unless, Cherry-Ann Fraser is injured or they have taken a conscious decision to manage her workload, I don't understand why she is not playing today.
Alleyne should be batting where Gajnabi is. Alleyne may be a better bowler now, but she is not that far ahead of Gajnabi from what I have seen. With more responsibility, I think Gajnabi could be as effective. Alleyne's batting is way better from the scores I have seen from the few Gajnabi innings witnessed recently.

How about the lady that played in the 6ixty from St. Lucia, Qiana. I think she deserves a chance.
7 more runs to finish this!!!!
In reply to Windiesfan78
I like Qiana too. Maybe because she is young, the management has insisted on fitness standards with her. This is just speculation on my part. However, if true, I support that position.
Fitness standards have to improve. Start with the young and slowly weed out the older players who do not meet the standards.
West Indies win. 169-6 (43.4)
Congrats, ladies! Respect!!!
In reply to Fantom
She could definitely become fitter but I love her attitude. She strikes me as someone who would work hard to get in the team. The other night in St. Lucia, she was there to show her support for the Royals men. The interest is there no doubt and she is a talent.
In reply to Windiesfan78
No doubt players like Qiana and Sheneta are the future of WI cricket. If her fitness is a concern, I applaud the management if they insist on her getting up to the standard. Do it now because she is young. If she really wants it, she'll get there.

Good win dat
In reply to Fantom
Well done, punching above their weight again. Walsh is doing a tremendous jobs with the ladies. If they can improve on their batting, they will win more matches.
In reply to Windiesfan78 & Chrissy
Good win, indeed. True, the Coach deserves praise.
Here is the advice I would offer to Coach:
1. Play Cherry-Ann Fraser as often as possible. She has pace and moves the ball - a match-winning combination.
2. Work on correcting the action of Shamilia Connell- she needs a more upright action, will aid speed
3. Slowly reduce the amount of bowling required of Henry, Alleyne
4. Increase bowling responsibility of Gajnabi and lower her position in batting order
5. Work your way to having Alleyne, Henry and the Knight sisters as batters only
6. I love Natasha but she must lose weight and get fitter. Keeping and opening will not work if unfit.
Go West Indies women!!!
